User Conduct and Obligations
Harassment/Personal Attacks: Please remember to be polite. A healthy debate is fine, but personal attacks are unacceptable. We want people to feel welcome here regardless of their differing views. Language/Content: Please refrain from offensive or obscene language.

Forum/Chat Room Disruption: Don't cause trouble. Don't needlessly pick on people. While disruption doesn't always rise to the level of harassment or personal attacks, it is still no fun. If you find it necessary to pick on people, do it elsewhere. Users who engage in repeated disruption are candidates for account deletion, just as if they engaged in harassment or personal attacks.

Appropriate Topics: Use good judgment while engaging in dialogue with others. There is nothing wrong with a conversation that steers away from cats, but it's best to avoid certain subjects. For example, this is not the best place to discuss sex, politics, religion, etc. (You will find that there are plenty of other chat rooms and bulletin boards elsewhere on the Web for such exchanges.) We want people of all ages to feel welcome here. Also, please remember that Persian-cats.com is not a dating service, so do not use the chat room to try and "pick up" someone.

Getting Personal: Do not post phone numbers or addresses on the boards! Please do not post copies of emails or private messages. If you are having a personal disagreement with someone, please keep it private. To our younger members: Never tell anyone where you live. If asked, just explain that you're not comfortable giving out that info.

Solicitations and Advertising: Promoting your own, or any other another business or web site either directly or indirectly is not permitted. Please refrain from posting advertisements or solicitations unless you have obtained special permission to do so. (An obvious exception is the "For Sale/Adoption" board, where we allow you to advertise available cats or cat-related items, as well as links to cattery web sites.) Threads not observing this stipulation will be deleted.

The "For Sale/Adoption" board: This board is intended as a public place to facilitate transactions. Persian-Cats.com LLC does not necessarily endorse any particular breeder or cat, nor is Persian-Cats.com LLC responsible for any claims made on these boards. Any troubles with cats or breeders should be handled privately among the people involved.

Copyrights: Please do not post material in the forum/boards that is copyright protected without permission from the copyright owner. Persian-Cats.com LLC is not responsible for any copyright or trademark infringement in the forum/boards; however we retain the right to remove materials that prove to be infringing. You, the user, are responsible for making sure that your message does not violate any existing copyrights.

Impersonations: Anyone attempting to pass him or herself off as another member will have his or her user account and posts removed. This includes registering several different user accounts & using those accounts as if they were controlled by different people.

Private Message/E-mail Abuse: Do not transmit junk mail, chain letters, or other unsolicited bulk e-mail or duplicative messages to our members.
