Celeste,

I thank you for the many informative posts you've contributed here.  So sorry about Josh ... I hope that somehow he can still be around for a while.  He is such a gorgeous boy ... a real work of fine art.  I commend you on loving your furbabies so much (something we all can relate to around here  Smiley ), being such a good furmom to your cats, and for fighting to ensure that future Persians might not know such things as PKD.

[and, like the others, I hope you won't be a stranger around here]

Hugs to your furbabies from me and approving purrs from Tosca to you.

Take care.

Celeste, I don't think I can add any more than has already been said.
I am so sad to read you have decided to leave the forum. You are such a valuable member here.  I do hope to see you back in the near future.

Gentle hugs to you and your adorable fur babies.
Sending extra big hugs for Josh
Take care Celeste

Oh I can not stand this!!!
I don't even know what to say but to ask that you would come back & just not post in the breeding section.
To those who have run off one of the nicest people on this site YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOUR SELVES & JUST REMEMBER WE ALL KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!

Celeste,

as the others have said, you such a valuable member to this site that I would really hate to see you go. Not only considering the care for your beloved furkids but also your concern about people in need of comfort and support, you have given so much to many of us.

So please, take a time out if you want but do come back to us, stay away from the breeding board which has sadly been the scenery of some very unpleasant events, reason for which I and many others too hardly go there.

I hope that also for you the positive experiences you have had here will in the long run outweigh the negative ones.

Meanwhile, hugs to you and your dearest ones,

Birgit

You're SO missed, Celeste!
I'm so hoping you will reconsider.
As Birgit has said.. I too believe the plusses really DO outweigh the minuses to this forum for all of us.. and by a wide margin :paw:  :flower:

I would like to thank everyone that has commented here and also for the members that chose to e-mail me directly. Each of you have made me feel special in different ways.  And this I thank you for.  I discovered this forum and its friendly community shortly after my Allie was diagnosed with polycystic liver disease in 2006.  I actually came here to find Joshua's breeder from the resources available. And one year later, Mollie's breeder also.
I could continue on and provide you with a background on myself which would probably give everyone a better understanding on why I made this decision.  However, all I will say is, that I have served in leading roles throughout my lifetime to change processes, policies, regulations and find solutions when needed.  I also will add that this could never have been accomplished without dedicated teamwork.
Please understand that within a mixed environment where solutions are not possible that I feel my continuation would serve as a great injustice to my boy Joshua.  At least for the time being, this is how I feel.
I also wish to take this opportunity to share with you a video that a friend e-mailed me.  It supports my principles in life and I thought you would enjoy seeing it.  And last but not least... please, each and everyone of you stay well until we meet again.

Celeste, I can only say I agree 100% with what Lucy has said. :flower:
This is a decision that you have not come to lightly or impulsively.
Though we are saddened by it, your choice is based on principles that you hold to and are guided by. We can only respect this.. and we do.

I wish you only the very best, Celeste, for you and your lovely cats. All of you are so deserving of the best in life.  :paw:

Am going to look at the link you have provided just now, thank you for offering this.
Please stay well also, Celeste. :flower:

Celeste,

I admire you for standing by your principles... "if you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything"

I will miss the pictures of your beautiful babies, and your intelligence and quick humor...

Allie, Sassie, Josh and your entire family will be in my prayers.

Celeste, I admire you for being a woman of action and principles. When something is wrong it is wrong. Taking the easy way out or ignoring the facts only compounds the problem. Being complacent never solves any issues. It's the people that stand up and dare to be heard that make a difference in our world. BRAVO!
I wish you the best always,

Celeste, I haven't been here in a while; hopefully, you will see this before you go.

You are one of those YOU PEOPLE whom...I absolutely admire and adore here! :flower:  :apple:  You have been such a source of common sense, wit and knowledge. This forum will not be the same without you.

It's truly hard not to marvel at Celeste's unstinting generosity in answering so many of my PMs on finding the right breeders; she's gone so far as to take my questions to her vet. And knowing her, I'm sure she's done this for others as well!

Thanks to Celeste, I am now getting two silver kittens.
