Hello all,
I have finally located my cat's orginal owners. They live pretty far
away in another state. They have no phone number that I can locate so I will
have to write them a letter.
I am hoping they will be nice enough to transer the ownership to my name.
I don't see why they wouldn't be, but you just never know. That being said I actually don't want to send them the certificate of individual registration because there could be a chance of me never seeing it again.
So I was wondering can I just send them a supplemental transfer form? I printed it off the CFA website. But its kind of confusing to me so I am not sure this form will work??
I would call CFA's offices to make sure, but I believe you will need to send them the original form, so that they can sign the back.
Also at the bottom of the form it states:: I agree to abide by all rules and regulations of CFA and understand that if the cat already has limited registration I will receive a Not For Breeding regisistraion.
Are you hoping to breed this girl or was she sold to you as a pet only? You will need to have breeding rights in order to breed the girl and register her babies
How do I tell if my cat has limited registration?? It doesn't say anything like that on the current certificate of registration (green one)
Did you ask for breeding rights from the breeder when you bought the cat? Did this cat's second owner have breeding rights?
Thanks all! Hope I wasn't too confusing
