Does anyone know what colors of kittens will I get if I breed a BE white pure persian to a Black Persian CPC?

Thank you in advance.

Do you happen to know what color the BEW masks?  Since the white is pure (non-CPC) and the black is CPC, obviously you will not get any Himmies but the offspring may or may not be CPC.

The BEW's mom was a tortie, Dad was a BEW too and this would be her first breeding. I was curious since the white and black are both masks if all the kittens would be either black or white or if other colors were even possible....

Jus had a look at her pedigree again, I would think she is masking red as all through it were mostly whites and calico, torites, reds or creams, and a couple blues and browns way back.

You Can receive many colors from this combination - and fairly with whites practically everything is possible since the white is a masking color.

It can mask things for a very long time and they can "pop" almost out of nowhere.

However statistically you will receive 50% whites.

From what I could gather from the post - the BEW is the female? and if her dam was a tortie - well she can mask Black, Red or Both!

so you can also get Black, Red and Tortie in all combos, maybe even with Bi-color or dilute... or whatever is hiding under the white

Cheers

Okay, learned something else new then...I always thought that black was a mask just like white, but if white masks the black too, I guess there's no guessing what colors I would get! Except hopefully at least half whites. And yes the BEW is the female.

Thank you!
