When I got Azurine at 8 wks old her color on her papers was solid Blue, sometimes I think she is more lavender but it could be she is light blue. My question is if you get a kitten and it is listed as one color and the color definately changes can you reregistar your kitten with the color is truely is.? I have read many articles some of them from cat registry that cats sometime do not get thier true colors until later. I also read where you can reregistar one more time for a color change?

Pat,

Are you saying that you believe Miss Bluie is a solid lilac instead of a solid blue?  Let me assure you that she is definitely registered under the correct color... she is a gorgeous solid blue Persian.  To answer your question, yes it is possible to have a cat's color corrected on their registration papers IF the color is incorrect AND for a fee.

Hope this helps!

thank you so much. I was checking out the colors on the registar and you are right, they show Bluie's color as being just what is should be.. thanks for answering the question about if a color is not correct.. Pat

You're very welcome Pat.  I have a breeder friend that had a cat that was originally registered as a lilac point, which obviously she was not.  She was able to get her re-registered correctly as a blue point.

Angie, yes you can have a "purple" kitty.   Here's a link that shows some photos of kittens in the beautiful lilac color.

It happened to me. Poppy was a chinchilla golden when I got her so that is what I registered her as...the little turkey managed to go shaded AFTER getting her winners ribbons in the show hall. When I corrected her color, she of course lost her championship and had to start over as a shaded golden.  Maybe that's why she hates shows - she feels like she was robbed

Oh YES Purple is our Passion!
Here's a photo of one of my Lilac Bi Color Babies

Let me assure you, they are either very purple in tone or very pink in tone. All depends on the lines. Photos never do lilac Persians any justice It's something you have to see in person to believe with your own 2 eyes.
