As most of you know, CH Ceylon's Color Me Crazy (lilac bi color persian) had sired his 1st litter. My Girlfriend was anxiously awaiting the big day. Well the big day came 3 days early to a 1st time mom. She birthed 4 black bi color male kittens. (She's a black bi color pure female so the kittens were all carriers). The most interesting kitten I quickly named Pepe La Pew because he had a white stripe going all the way down his back just like a skunk. Today they have all passed away, 1 by 1 slowly Sad I could just cry! My girl friend was hand feeding them all and loosing them all because the 1st time mom was afraid of them and wanted nothing to do with them. She was waiting for another friend of hers to birth an expecting litter so she could hand them over to that Dam in hopes of the babies living. Sadly, they never had that chance. Oh it's just so sad!

Ceylon,

So sad.  This is one of the hardest parts of breeding.

I am so very sorry!
I know how much it hurts to lose one kitten, let alone 4.
But it is considered common in rabbits to loose the first litter.
Were lucky cats only fail some of the time.
Maybe a little kitty valum next time.
She is high strung to feel this way and maybe the vet can help.

See THIS is why I enjoy this board so much!
The support here is unbeatable anywhere else on the net.

It has been hard for us all. I appreciate you all caring so much and thinking of the babies who have gone onto heaven.

Well you all know i've been there and usderstand all to well this heartbreaking learning experience. But I was very lucky to have one out of my four make it.

Right now she's sitting on my shoulder again rubbing her face against mine and just being a love. Heck Winnie lost that first litter at 47 days.

My heart truly goes out to you and your friend for your loss!

Take care

I am so sorry for the loss of this most anticipated litter. This truely is the hardest and most heartbreaking part of breeding.
