Hi all you will probably remember Remi my blue girl who delivered her 4 kittens 2 weeks ago? im pleased to tell you the blue girl and 3 boys, blue, black and black/white are coming along a treat, they are stunning, good weights and growing well.
im a little worried about solo who was the lone kitten from chloe my lilac girl, she is adorable tortie little girl, developing as far as i can see well. At birth she weighed 2oz, shes now 8oz at 5 weeks and has just started to wean, she still feeds of,off mom but feels like a bag of bones?i dont want to upset her tummy but how can i build her up? i know her birth weight was low,but she has had no problems nursing, its early days i suppose but wonder what everyone else does?someone suggested baby rice and kmr? she does like cooked chicken, her stools are formed, mum is still cleaning her at the moment.
thanks for your help

I would incurage her to keep nursing mom!
Mothers milk is more digestable than anything you can buy at any price.

Mine still nurse at 10m and 12 weeks if I don't cage the mom for 48 hours to dry her up at about 9 weeks.

I agree let her continue nursing, she may need extra time for her intestines to develop to the point of being able to handle other foods and as long as she is gaining I would be patient and let her go slow.....
