LOL no kidding! You should see persian people at shows, only cat people would understand you holding up the cat's tail blowing on their fannies.

I don't use barrettes mostly because I really couldn't see some of my cats tolerating that. But, I do dump a whole bunch of baby powder on their back ends to keep anything from sticking to the hair.

Go then to combing and "blowing" it off before a ring :lol:
