My himalayan corina with the almost 4 week old kittens was a light and dainty cat when she came to me. she weighed 5 lbs! tiny! She gained weight in her pregnancy and finally felt good all over. Now that she is nursing her kittens she is back to her tiny self.(wish it was that easy for me! lol!) I am free feeding her with a bowl of dry feed always and half a can of wet food every day. is there anything else i can do for her? Beef heart ground up was suggested to me, but i dont know if she would eat that. i gave her ground up cooked chicken once and she wouldnt touch it.

also, the kittens have no interest in the wet food. i thought by 3 weeks they should be eating some wet food. any suggestions on them? i dont want to do anything wrong.

I feed my mamas kitten food, it has more calories.

As far as the kittens, 3 weeks is pretty early. Earliest mine start to get interested in food is about 4 weeks or later.

If I want to hear the pitter patter of little feet... I'll put shoes on my cats!

okay, thanks linda. Its good to know that they are still a bit too young for an interest in food.

i feed  natural balance ultra premium.(bright pink bag) its all life stages.(kittens and cats) Do you think this is as good as feeding one that is for kittens only? i thought about switching to innova evo..because i think its 20%fat content.natural balance is 34% protien and 18% crude fat.

at one time i was mixing in wellness core..
