Has anyone here used Weruva canned food? If so what did you think? I am always looking for something simple the girls can tolerate. I have to go VERY slow adding something and by the time I can decide if it is okay and give them more the little darlings are turning thier princess noses up at it.

We rotate through Weruva here and I so understand what you mean.  Some like the Tuna (Mediterranean Harvest), some like the Nine Liver and on the cat wok.  I think it's a good food without carbs.  Wish it had animal fat/fish oil instead of sunflower oil...but there are much worse.

I found that they either loved it or hated it with about a 50/50 ratio.  In fact, they've gotten a little picky the last few days so think I'll dig down and get a couple of cans for dinner :)Good Luck

Have you had any loose stool issues with it?

No, none at all.  But, I feed 4 or 5 different "cans" AM and PM and no one eats just theirs.  It's like a buffet :0)

Have done this since they were kittens and we never have any issue with food change.

Okay, thanks. I would love to be able to feed a variety but the tiniest change causes diarrhea becuase of the Tritrichomonas parasite. One of the foods they eat that they have eaten since they were babies has now added wheat and it will be just like a total new food to them.  Like my Vet says, they even react to stuff that is supposed to be good for them :?  I will give it a try and tell you how it goes.

Have you ever tried Slippery Elm Bark?  It's a powder you mix with warm water into a grool.  It works wonders to sooth upset tummies or coat tummies that have issues.  It might help while the meds are working on their problem.  Best is to mix 1/4 tsp in tbs of  warm water, still and syringe 30 minutes before eating, but not the end of the world to give with food. It really works wonders at our house for that very occassional (thank goodness) upset tummy.  Tongue

Thank you for the suggestion. Actually they were on it for 2 years but we had to take them off everything when we tried the Ronidazole in July. I just started giving Lani some a few days ago as something is upsetting her right now. Which reminds me it's time for her dose. I do it different and what you do sounds easier. I put 1/2 tsp. in 1/2 c of water and boil about 2mins.  and give her 3cc.  2x day then keep it in the fridge. Maybe your way will work better. Do you give the whole amount you mix up at at time?

I give it all at one time, but it thickens very quickly.  Seems when I need it I want it right then and it clears the issue with one dose, so I usually don't make the syrup.
