By listening to all the posts of people who have had the same problems with their cats, I went to the vet to get an antiviral  drop for Mia's eye condition that she has had for over a year. It has been only 3 days of the antiviral drops and starting her back on the lysine liquid, her eye has improved more than I have seen with all the other meds she has been on for a year. I and Mia are greatful to all you cat lovers on this site. May God bless this site and all who are on it. Rita

Rfaulkner, delighted to hear Mia's eye is improving,I think the anti viral drops are important as Bailey had a follow up with his vet last Wednesday,6 days after starting those drops and the vet was astonished at the improvement. For the previous 2 weeks I had been doing just the antibiotic drops and no improvement.
I'm using oxyuridine anti viral drops and day one was every five mins for 30 mins, days 2,3,4 5 were 10 times daily and now he is getting it just six times daily.
Just wondering if that is the same treatment you are doing.I'm also doing the antibiotic drops 3 times daily along with 250 mg Lysine twice daily and he is now finished with his oral antibiotic.
Vet did stress that once Bailey's eye looks perfectly back to normal I have to continue with the drops for a further 2 weeks.
It's a long hard battle as you know.
