Can you recommend any cream point himis in the gallery or on another site that I can look at? I think I need to search the himi gallery by cat name b/c it's so large? I didn't see any from just browsing around.

A collegue of mine believes that Phoenix is a cream point  himi.  (Phoenix is a 7yr old Female who was confiscated from a breeder reported for abuse, and I didn't get to see any of her a babies.)  I'm also trying to track down papers through CFA or TICA, if papers exist.  (the cattery name was not made available to me and foster family names were shielded from them)

When I got her, she was very skinny, dirty, tear-stained and had to be shaved. She looked to us like a blue-eyed white.  With regular cleaning of her face and her coat coming in, it looks like we're seeing cream in her tail, paws, face.  Unfortunately, I can't get a good color pic with my phone, but will borrow a digital camera asap.  The pic in my avatar is from about 4 wks ago and isn't very good --Her ears look huge for some reason.

I'm very curious to learn more about cream points and himis in general.  the cream points I get when i search google images are really varied and some look like flame-points and even bicolors... I was hoping someone could point me in to some good examples of cream points. Many thanks!  (I actually joined this subforum b/c I love the look of himis and hoped to have a seal point someday...wouldn't it be funny if it turns out that I already have a himi?)

thanks jaycee! the P&E gallery is really helpful. I'll reserve judgment on Phoenix until we clear up her face and grow more coat so I can show her to someone more knowledgeable than me and my cubby-mate (hint hint).

It's helpful to see the range of color within the creams. Phoenix's coloring would be lighter like DreamCatcher or Dal Bo's Gabriel.  She doesn't have much behind the ears so had I only seen pix like Dreamhimi's Monet I'd have said there's no way Phoenix is a himi...  I love a good mystery...Can't wait to see how she develops!

HI ladies!

Actually Sachie is a cream point too...I forgot about him being on there.  I was refering to Bitts on the Newborn page -- she is also a cream point.

Thank you for your kind words regarding Libby Jaycee -- she is my baby!!!  She actually has two little girls that will be 3 weeks old on Sunday.  I am hoping to keep one of them.  They were born on the 21st of December.

Ok, new question--- I'm learning how to tell btwn cream pt and flame pt.  I know the cream pt is the dilute version, but it isnt always straightfwd to me in pics...  Is the kitty on the top right of the http://www.eyeenvy.com  home page a flame pt himi?

(btw you may be able to see Phoenix's face below. She clearly has a touch of cream on her wee forhead and tail, but i'm still waiting to clear her tear stains to evaluate her cheeks and paws, which have tear staining as well from her rubbing her face. She does not have dramatic color tufts behind her ears)

Thank you all for your kind words about my babies!  Libby is a lifer here and the mother of the lynx point girl in my other post above.

As for the kitten on the link you asked about...I believe it is a flame point.  The flames have a "hotter" coat color than the creams.  Creams are what I call a dull red (no hot shine)...but be careful cause you can also find what some call hot-creams...where in my opinion they could go either way.

Hope that helps some.
