Hi, just introducing myself. My name is Casey some of you on here may remember me from several months ago.
I recently got a new blue tabby girl baby. I had some questions about her and her littermates coloring and thought this would be the best place to come.
Her name is Miss Fuzz. Her father is a blue point Himmy and her mother is solid white persian/domestic mix. So i know she is not purebred but i figured since she is so close that the same coloring rules would still apply.
There were 6 kittens in her litter. 2 solid white like the mother, i understand how those came out white. There were also 2 brown tabby kittens and Fuzz which is blue tabby. There is however a solid black kitten.
I know that the tabby came from the mothers , mother which is brown tabby. The mothers father was white like her.
My question is where did that solid black come from, i thought tabby would dominate the solid coat. Also why is there no white on the tabby or black kittens with the mom being white i would think some of them would have some white markings? Just very curious about it, so if you think you know than would appreciate your help.
