Hi and welcome to the site. A suggestion, if I'm not too late. Mabey your vet could shave him while he is under anethesia for surgery. That may be less stressful to him. Thank you for giving him a good home.

  :!: Exellent recommendation Dianne!  Less stress for Moca.  Welcome to the site David and Moca!  So glad to see you here and how lucky Moca is to have finally found an owner that will care for him and love him the way a cat should be.  Persians are very special and it's hard to resist those eyes.

Jump right in the forums and post.  We love pics and can't wait for those.

WELCOME!! :paw: :fish:

Welcome to you and Moca!!!!!!!!

Don't wait, please take and post pictures.  We are crazy about pictures.

I hope that you were able to reach your vet to get him clipped during his nueter... so much easier.  When you get him home either from the vet or the groomer make sure to comb him a bit each day whether he needs it or not to get him used to being handled and groomed.

I think that Moca is a very lucky boy... very soon those eyes will be shinning with happiness and mischief!!!!!!!!!

I hope this picture posts.  This is the picture of Moca, now "Titan" from the website I found him.  I changed his name because it was a shelter name given to him because they didn't know what his name was.  I brought him home yesterday after his surgery.  He's doing fine.  I'm waiting to groom him until he's had a chance to adjust to his surroundings, and me.  He's been coming up and letting me pet him, so as I stroke his fur, I slip in a few strokes of the comb.  I still think he'll have to shaved, but he looks so much better this morning than when I brought him home.  I'll give him a few days to heal before I attempt to put him through the trama of being shaved.

I can hardly wait to see him all cleaned up and healthy.  I love his gold eyes.  The pic doesn't do them justice.

Cheesy Hi David and welcome to the site! Titan is a beauty! I agree with you on giving him some time to heal after his surgery before shaving him. I usually shave my cats down for the summer anyway. I do it myself and they've gotten used to it. So far I've never had to sedate either of them. Thank you for taking in this sweet kitty in.
