I'm so excited -- Wicked the musical is coming to Dayton in 2010! It was in Cincinnati last year, but tickets sold out in five minutes!

Today, the theatre venue is holding a media breakfast, which I will be attending. There are supposed to be cast members there, who will serenade us with songs from the show!!

Have any of you seen Wicked? I haven't, but I have the soundtrack, and I know every word. I'm hoping to get a group of my theatre friends together to go see it -- I can't wait!! Cheesy

It was AWESOME!! One of the original producers came to speak to us. There were about 150 people there, from local media, theatres, universities, etc.

We heard the woman who played Elphaba (the wicked witch) in the Chicago cast -- she was wonderful!! Then she was joined by the woman who played Glinda in L.A. -- I cried through the whole thing... and it was just two songs! :roll:

The breakfast was lovely -- we had quiche, sausage, fruit, and potatoes. Plus, we all got goodie bags with a CD of the songs we heard, a witch-hat keychain, and a Wicked long-sleeved t-shirt (which I am wearing today).

This is my favorite part of my job -- I get paid to go have an amazing time!!

Now, I have to get my group together so we can reserve our tickets!!
