Hi Guys,

I have just finished posting on the "Solid Blacks" side and noticed we have been standing still for a few weeks!

Maybe we can have a roll call. (Did I even spell it correctly?)

I am Aletta Stumke of Johannesburg, South Africa and the owner of a four year old copper eyed male named Pablo. (Porkie Pie).

He is a big boy, adorable, naughty and loves to explore outside in the garden. Unfortunately we have a huge feral cat problem which forces me to keep him indoors most of the time. (They poop on our grass and I am scared of infections etc.)

Here is some pic's of him.

Dreaming amongst the Flowers

With eye infection

So pretty without eye infection.

Waiting for his Dad to come home.

Cheesy  Oh Girls, what pretty babies Cheesy Thank you for the pics.. oh mommy :!:

Lisa, the pic of Lily is giving me so much hope for my baby Jazmine, she has the same black and white. I can not show anyone pics of her yet, it will upset you all to much, but thank you, thank you, you did a wonderful thing for me and Jazzy

All six of my White Fluffs are still Fluffing,         Leo is hinting, for a bath and it is his lucky day. Katie, a friend of mine is adopting Angelique, my Flame Point fosterbaby and Shiloh and she is coming over to give them baths. She is pretty nervous as she has never bathed a Persian, or kitty, for that matter. Leo is the posterchild when it comes to bathing, drying and being groomed, so......I think it is going to be the easiest way to show her how to to do a propper bath, wash eyes, face, Persian slippers....ect.... he is soooooo good. After that we will work on the other two. Angelique is actually very good, shouldn't be a problem.

Hopefully I can get Kim to post pics for me, I still have not been able to figure out how

Aletta, Pablo is a beauty and Mary, I have the picture of Vanna and Inkling, that you sent me a while ago, on my screensaver Cheesy

Bigg huggs from all of us in Boca Raton, Mari, Gwenyvere, Lancelot, Alexandra Roberta, Katmandu, Leo and Sammy. :meow:

I have had my kittens for going on the second week now (1 solid white and 1 solid grey) and so far it's going pretty well. I was a little leary of getting a solid white kitten because I wasn't confident with my grooming skills. I comb them every day for a few minutes using a teflon comb and then use the castle bath face wash on both.  My white baby, Lilly, I think actually likes having her face washed!

We've hit a bit of rough patch with illness. I took them to the vet the first day I got them and found out they had a parasite. Lilly's little belly has been upset (not sure yet if its from the medicine) and I have had to wash her little bottom every day at least once to get all the stuff off. I've also tried trimming away the hair a little at time. We take her back to the vet tomorrow to see if there is more he can do for her. I was afraid that Lilly would really hate me with all the washing I have had to do!  I use a baby pre-soaped disposable wash cloth, wipe down, and then do a quick rinse on the bottom ( a bucket stresses her less than the sink) and then onto the super absorbant towel. It's probably not the best stuff for the white fur, but it works better than when I was trying it with the separate cloth and special shampoo....

Hon., you seem to be doing a great job with Lily. Most important thing they need is love.
Please don't be scared, we all have White Persians and believe it or not, some are easier to keep clean than others   Trust me, I have SIX White Precious-Ones and not two of them are a like, they all need care in their own,  individual way.... to me, it is a joy to have and care for them, they are funny and that actually makes it very easy to care for them, nothing in our house is ever serious, every thing is 'play time' It works for us lot

I hope the vet sorted out Lily's problem and yes, it is a good idea to keep her little backside trimmed. I shave all my Babies kafoofies, that way you never have dingleberries or smelly little behinds. If you are not comfortable doing it yourself, I'm sure, your vet will help and show you how to do it. You know what I use to wash dirty bumms when it happens...Dawn dishwashing liquid. Cleans it up very well, but just make sure, you rinse a lot, get all the soap out Smiley

Huggs, Mari.

Hi! Sherman and I are still Here!! His fur took a big hit when the Air Conditioning was damaged and the Power went out.  I think he got overheated.  Anyway he lost a lot of fur and was bald in areas.  But He has Baby Fur coming back in where he is bald.  Linda
