Like the others have said, the pain never goes way completely.  I still miss Fuzzy and he's been gone almost 7 years.

Do something that will help memorialize your baby.  I have a beautiful framed picture of Fuzzy in my family room and his favorite suede mouse toy is right next to it on to of his ashes.

Submit a memorial to one of the petloss sites.  That helps, too.  The weekly candle ceremonies help while you are getting through the grieving process.  Something else I do that is because of Fuzzy is rescue because he was a stray and he became my soul kitty.  I make as big a donation as I can to the vets office every year on the anniversary of his death so they can use the money to treat a stray or some kitty that needs treatment and can't get it otherwise.

The last thing I do is I have a gold locket that I wear every day.  Inside it are small clips of fur from Fuzzy, Schnee, Jack, and several other of my cats.  They are with me always, even those who are still alive and thankfully well.

My Merlin passed away at age 20. Imagine, how close we were! I loved him to death. He passed on 9/27/08....  10 days after my Birthday. I thought that was sweet of him....He lived to celebrate with me. Merlin passed away due to old age, quiet and peaceful. We all had a chance to say Good bye,

I couldn't have asked for anything else. Merlin may God be with you! We think of you everyday, and miss you will all of heart!

i am so sorry for your loss it  is never easy losing a pet but one day another little kitten will touch your heart not to replace the one you have lost but to give the love that you would have given him when you are ready and the hurt starts to ease the right little kitten will come into your life
