With a very heavy heart and saddened spirit, I must announce that Ice Man was put to sleep today 3/2/09.  He had gone into kidney failure and stopped eating Saturday night.  We syringe fed and watered him until today.  I really shouldn't be too sad because he led a very long and healthy life yet he will be greatly missed.  He was 18 1/2 years old and we got him when he was only 8 weeks (and yes I have learned that was too young).  Ice Man was our 1st wedding anniversary gift to each other.

Rest in peace my beautiful blue point himmie.

Anne I'm so sorry for the loss of your dear kitty Ice Man. :cry:
My deepest sympathies to you.

Your boy was blessed with a happy and long life, enjoyed a secure and loving home with you.
No matter what their age, it's never enough time for us, though. Saying goodbye to our beloved pets just such a heartbreak.
From 8 weeks to 18-plus years... such a very long time he was part of your lives. In some ways this makes it even harder when they leave us.
My heart goes out to you at this sad time.

I am so sad to hear of your loss. It never is enough time but i'm sure he knew you were doing everything you could in those last few days.

RIP Ice Man you were loved. You must've taken very good care of him for him to reach that age. Sorry for your loss, it is not easy at any age :cry:

Anne,

So very sorry to hear that your beloved Himmie Ice Man is now gone.  What a wonderful 1st Anniversary present to have given each other back in 1990.  He was a very precious boy.  My sinceres condolences.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Have fun at the Bridge Ice Man, you will be whole again, no pain .... watch over your Mom.. she misses you with all her heart.

Anne,
I am so sorry for your loss of your beloved pet Ice Man.  What a testament to a life
full of loving care that he reached the age of 18 1/2.  I know that you will miss him.
He has left his paw prints on your hearts forever.  Rest in peace dear one.

I am so sorry Anne.  I send all my sympathies and prayers to you and family.  It's never long enough is it?  Ice Man will be sorely missed but I know he is in your hearts forever.

Anne, I am so sorry to hear about Ice Man,he had a wonderful life full of love and fun and he gave you much love as you did him. He is now chasing butterflys and feeling like a kitten again.. Pat
