FIRST OFF I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE FOR THE REPLIES! I AM BRING HER TO THE VET THIS SAT,I CALLED THE BREEDER TWICE! AND SHE IS NOT HELPING IN ANY WAY. FIRST SHE SAID THE CATS EYE WILL BE FINE WITH MEDS. OK, SO THATS ANOTHER 41.00 FOR THE EYE MEDS. THAT I CAN HANDLE. HER EYE IS MUCH BETTER. THEN, AFTER LEAVING THE VET, I CALLED THE BREEDER AND TOLD HER ABOUT THE MUMMER. ONCE AGAIN, ALL SHE DID WAS TELL ME SHE WILL BE FINE ETC; ETC; ETC;, I THEN SAID THAT THE ULTASOUND IS 250.00, SHE DID NOT OFFER ANY HELP AT ALL. MY URGENT HELP IS DOES ANYONE HAVE A EXPERANCE WITH A BREEDER LIKE THIS? YES, SHE DID HAVE A CONTRACT, BUT I LIVE IN ANOTHER STATE, AND HAVE CERTAIN RIGHTS . PLEASE REPLY ANY ONE! THANKS EVERYONE! Did the sale contract include a health guarantee?
Did you follow all the requirements of the contract -such as getting the kitten checked by a veterinarian within so many days of the purchase?
Did you discuss with the breeder about returning the kitten for a refund or exchange due to the health issues? Since a veterinarian can quickly run up a huge bill by running all sorts of tests-both neccessary and unneccessary - many breeders had rather have a kitten returned & deal with severe health problems with their own vets that they trust.

thank you mary for the respond. yes, i had 72 hours to get her to my vet. my reg vet was closed for the week, and i live in a very small town, so i found one 20 miles away and got her in one week of purchace. this is when they dicoverd the health issues. the thing is, and i have a family member who has bred golden retrevers for ten years, and as part of being a breeder is to ADMEDDELLY offer a refond or another dog. my breeder is not even going to dicuss any of this with me. as a buyer of the kitten i understand things CAN go wrong. but this is a very expensive kitten, our family loves her, we CANNOT give her back. all i can say is i think i got taken, my vet told me there IS NO WAY the breeders vet could not notice this mummer. she brought the kitten to her vet that morning we picked her up. once again, thank you |

Check the so-called "Lemon Laws" for dogs and cats of the state in which you purchased the kitty. I had to resort to this and it worked for me. Not all states have such laws but fortunately for me, where I purchased my kitty did. I have gone thru this several times with high priced cats and unscrupulous breeders. I wish you the best!!!!
