On April 13, 2007, Davin & I met up for our first date at
"The Yard House" in Long Beach Ca. Just 1 day before,
we found each other on the famous 'ol Match.com
I was the VERY first person he had met or even talked
to on there, and he was, well my like millionth (ok not
really, but I had met a few before him). From the second
I saw him in person for the first time, I was honestly in L :heart:

Well after 3yrs & 8months of dating, we got engaged this
past Christmas Eve in front of the whole family. In fact
my brother in law videotaped it. In case any of you want

Well Match.com has a "Success Story" website so after
I sent in our story, they sent us each a tshirt. They
just came in the mail today.

So in other words,
internet dating (and friendships) really do work!!
My first Birthday present, yay!! haha

That is so freakin romantic....and to have the ring
as a gift on your doggie's collar...how cute was that!!
I think you have a winner here Amy..he cooks..he's romantic..
he likes dogs and cats..what more could a girl ask for, eh???

When is the wedding?
And I do think a little tux for the dog is in order on that special day!!

Cool story! I've always wondered if anyone ever had any positive experiences with online dating. I have 2 friends that got stalkers from their experiences. :shock:

And to keep up with my grumpy status today -- you do know Persia's long white hairs will show up on those t-shirts?! :twisted:

That was beautiful!! Thank you for sharing! I actually live in Long Beach and often walk around Shore Line Village and by the Yard House! Now I'm moving to Laguna Woods (55plus place) tho am really probably going to be Long Beach Gal at heart as I've been here nearly 24 years off and on.

Anyway that was really so wonderful the way your fiance proposed to you (Darla was great at her part)! I was on the verge of tears and laughter!!! :heart:

I wish you and your fiance and Darla and Persia wonderful life together! And yes, when is the wedding??

What a nice story. I did some internet dating for a while too, but did not have quite as successful an outcome. I did get one relationship out of it that lasted for six months. It wasn't quite love at first sight though. At least I didn't get any stalkers out of the deal as Linda's friends did!

Many years ago I lived in Huntington Beach, right next to Long Beach. I attended CSULB for a few semesters before transferring to another school and moving away. That was a long time ago!
