So glad you all are ok...so sad for those who were not so lucky and those that lost their lives. I hate tornado season too...it is starting to creep more our way so we are getting into that "tornado alley" area as well. With no basement...I worry every time they call for them!!!

Tornados must be so very scary!!
I hope all of you in the path of tornados
so stay safe!!
I just can't imagine this kind of storm...when I see
the devastation on TV..I tell myself...I will never
complain about another snow blizzard again...

I'm glad the storms weren't as bad as they thought they might be. Although for those that were hit, the storms were more than bad enough.

Joan-- tornado or blizzard. I've been through both, and blizzard even with ice, no power, and several days is still much, much better. The thing I never liked about tornados is knowing storms were coming, trying to decide "do I hide or not", and then waaaaaitttting. I so don't miss them!

Linda...at least a snow blizzard doesn't flatten
your house...can live without power for awhile,
but would hate to loose my house completely...

Loose your house and have your possessions scattered over 3-10 miles!

But then there's the weird thing about tornados. It may flatten your house, but the next house it takes off the roof only, and the following house it picks up and moves 2 feet off the foundation. Or not touch your house and flatten every house around for blocks.

Oh...I know Linda..
I'm always amazed by the photos on the TV...one house
destroyed, then the one right next door, still standing....
Must make you ask, "Why me Lord, why me".....

Tornadoes must be the scariest thing. Well I wouldn't be
to thrilled with an earthquake either.

As for blizzards, most of us have a wood stove,
so it's kind of nice and cozy.

Tornadoes sound very frightening. It would have to be horrible to lose your home like that. Thankfully here in Colorado we don't have too much trouble with either tornadoes or earthquakes, although both can and do occur here.

Blizzards we can deal with. Not so bad as long as you're not trying to drive somewhere.

Yea, I'd take a blizzard any day over a tornado. Here's a link to a video of a tornado that wasn't too far from us.

That is the ONLY good thing I have to say about living in Arizona...very few weather events. We have flash floods but people usually don't lose everything due to them.
