I am glad it seems to be getting better. I was worried about prolapse.
Are you still taking her to the vet?
I hope this all goes away.

Yes! Mia is going in tomorrow. I just hope the Vet is available after work or Mia will be picked up, Daniel will be home all day. Her butt is better but not normal and these mats will probably need to be shaved off. :oops:

Rhona, I hope you tell the vet that no one ever responded in an oncall situation. That is pitiful.

I tried to get ahold of another Vet I have used in the past, she was with her sick mother and asked me to call her vet tech to look at Mia. I left a message but she never called me back either.

Amanda couldn't come to the house so I took her to the clinic after work..

She said I looks like Mia had a blockage that she sucessfully passed. Her glands were clear but her anus and the glands are infected.

Mia got a butt haircut (No charge), Convenia Injection $16, Vetalog Injection $15, Metacam 3 day dose $12, Chlorhexadine Scrub $5, Exam (No charge)

2 x's a day her butt is getting a bath, swiped with the Chlorhexadine and the lathered with vasaline..she is going to HATE me when this is over :cry:

Oh boy! I am sure glad she is getting better.
Do you think the blockage could have been something she ate?
I just hope this is the end of all this for you and especially for precious Mia.

Tell the vet -- if he has this woman on call, he should know. My iPhone holds the calls I made and the time. If your phone does does, show it to him. Someone's pet is going to be in worse shape than Mia and Amanda may cost an animal's life. I'm just glad she is okay (and she isn't going to hate you. :heart:

I plan on telling her. My phone shows I made a call but not that I left a message. We do have the option of the ER Vet, but they are expensive. I have used them when it was a matter of life or death. Mia would have gone Saturday night if she hadn't started to improve.
