Well I just finished bathing Nancy's babies. She's a wonderful mother in most ways. She never leaves them, they never leave her. They are fat rollie polies, but could also be described as crispity, crunchity peanutbuttery babies. This is because Nancy never cleans them :?. I don't understand it myself. They were the dirtiest babies I've ever seen. It's always risky to bath kittens so young, but I was left with no choice. Taking a slightly damp warm cloth them them daily just wasn't getting the job done right. The other Nancy babies news is, all 3 of them are starting to open their eyes! I can not wait for time to pass over the next few weeks so we can see if we have any odd/blue eyes looking back at us.

Ava's babies....
Clean, healthy, rollie polies for sure. None of their eyes are starting to crack open. Strange as they were all born on the same day but I'm sure they are just a few days behind Nancy's litter. The 2 boys look very nice and typey. The lilac smoke calico has made slight improvement, but I seriously doubt she'll ever improve enough to be shown. Time will tell.

Queenie's babies are beautiful! I sent off the dom. calico's DNA test today to UC Davis to learn if she carries chocolate. If so we'll likely be keeping her. The black bi color male is the prettiest baby I've produced in a long time, however I can't keep him so I've not DNA tested him. I think he'll make a pet home very happy. My husband and daughter can never seem to keep him out of their arms.

Well Nancy's babies will used to getting a bath from a very young age :?Hope they do well, can't understand Nancy not cleaning them, maybe you could borrow one of the Orange crew for a while :D

Glad all the rest are apparently doing well, you are going to be just a bit busy here shortly. :D

You have your hands full at the moment. Poor old Nancy, maybe she will twig on and clean them up, does not sound like it though. Funny how they are all different types of mamas, just like people.

Congratulations, I can not wait to see pictures of the kittens! I know that they are all absolutely gorgeous. Now, hope you don't mind me asking, but a while ago you had a kitten named Bella. Did she ever end up being blue eyed/odd eyed? I don't remember reading an update about her, and I'm just curious, as she was so adorable, plus she had the most beautiful name ;)

I am so glad the babies are doing well. Silly Nancy should be doing a better job of cleaning those babies, shall I send my groomer over to help out? Or maybe Purrinian could send over the expert washer Dana to help a bit. Maybe Ava will take pitty on them and pitch in and help.

Thank you very much everyone. All the babies are happy and doing well.
It's a bit impossible to keep Nancy's babies clean right now. I dare not risk bathing them daily this young. I can't let them get chilled, but they all have their eyes open and are doing well.

Ava's babies are great as well. The blue bi color boy has his eyes open and he's absolutely stunning. His eyes and nose are level and he's so pretty. The black bi color boy has 1 eye open and the lilac smoke calico's eyes are cracking open.
It's a pretty exciting time for the babies. They are just starting to take in the world.

Bella..... she's a beauty. She's copper eyed. I sent off her DNA test to see if she is a tabby or not. When I bath her I see tabby lines, but when she's dry with her fluffy cottony coat I can't see any tabby on her. So I'm relying on the DNA test to let me know if she's a tabby or not. I'm hoping to take her to her 1st show in October, but I don't know yet if she'll be ready. I named her Ceylon's Poetry In Motion

We had to buy a new battery charger today for the digital camera. Perhaps over the next few weeks I'll get to take pics and share all my little beauties with everyone. I think you're all in for a surprise :)

Ceylon's Poetry in Motion is a lovely name. I can not wait to see pictures of all of your babies, especially Bella and your Lilac Calico Smoke. Their colors sound so amazing!
