Hello I am Patricia but call me Pat. I have been on the site almost 8.5 years. At that time we needed a sponser and Joan and Bumper and Dolly did that for us.. I met my husband John almost 14 years ago, we have been married nine. one of those September loves.
I am a retired nurse, John is still working at 71, hopefully to retire soon. We are owned by Azurine Ambrosia Hodge, aka Miss Bluie
We live in upper NY , near the Canadian border. I try to send Joan, Mary and Fran our winter weather
John has three sons, and four grandchildren I have two daughters and one son, five grandchildren.
We love to hike, boat, gardening, and of course Miss Bluie

First off I want to tell Fran how much I have missed her and am so glad she is back.

I am Dianne , Barbara is not the only 68 yr old I retired last summer, not my choice. I live with hubby Jim, we will be celebrating our 50 yr anniversary in November, if we don't kill each other first we have 16 grand kids, I think, and 5 great grand kids with two more due soon.
Jim will be retiring soon and we will be moving to another part of the state, (Utah )

We are allowed to share the house with two Himalayan sisters Sparky and Lani, 6 next month.
We also have two c0cker spaniels Chase and Chicka.

I'm Joe. My primary job is running a small cat ranch located on a remote mesa in north central New Mexico. Since there is not much profit margin in cat ranching, I also have to work as a fire protection engineer for the Los Alamos National Laboratory in order to pay for cat food and litter . The herd, in order that I adopted them, consists of:
Joey, a silver persian,
Misty, a small black and white persian,
Teddybear, aka The Big, a good sized blue male,
Huggybear, a good sized seal point hemi male,
Peaches, my small cream female persian,
Cinnamon, my small but energetic, female persian,
Pepper, aka Pepparocinni, my small is female black and white persian, and
Fluffy, my other large lynx seal point hemi male.

I'm Amy. Currently 28 (but only for 2 more hours!).
I am currently engaged to the of my life, Davin.
We have been dating for 4 years and getting married 03.31.13
I own and run a private swim lesson program that travels
to clients home locations as well as bring my program
to a private Montessori school where we teach 60-80
students each summer since 2009. I also coach high
school girls soccer at my alma mater, Westminster HS.
And since a few weeks ago, I started a fitness program
(at the Montessori school) for the preschool and kindergarten
kids. So as you can tell, I working outdoors and
during this time in my life, I wouldn't want it any other way!
I live in beautiful Southern California in Orange County (city
of Fountain Valley) - which makes it easy to work outdoors
year round. My favorite food is PIZZA & Pear Cider. I love
wine and champagne. My favorite past-time is SLEEPING

For now, our children consist of:
DARLA - 5y/o Tan Pekingese (we keep her hair SHORT/teddy bear cut)
PERSIA - unknown age, between 3-6 (rescued) bi-colored White&Gray (or is it blue?) Persian
CAP'N JACK SPARROW - 1y/o Blue Beta fish

Liliane, retired (jipeeeeee)I'll be 57 this year. I have been a member of this great group for about 6 or 7 years, my first contacts here were with Pat, Blue-ies mom. One could say I'm one of the "Cat Pack" girls (hey if Frank, Sammy and Dean could have a pack, so can we !) : Joan, Dawn,Pat, Birgit,Fran, Ian (not a girl but a long time member).

Pattapouff, aka Patts, a shaded golden girl with loads of cat-ti-tude, she will be 16 in November
Nelson, aka Nels, my teddy bear cat, he is a British Blue with big, round golden eyes, he is gentle and sweet and f.a.t. and he will be 15 in october
Dylan, Mr Ice Bear, my babyboy. He is a himi with blue, blue eyes.He is very active and a spoiled brat and he is extremely sweet. He will be 3 in September
Mr. Gorgeous, a handsome, sweet Maine Coon (at least I think he is a maine coon). He is an outdoor cat who chose me to fulfill his daily needs. Food, drink and my garden shed are his for as long as he stays here. He has been abused for he is afraid of hands and feet but he allows me to gently pet him and he shows his gratitude by giving me headbonkzies.

I am Denise and I have been here since January, 2002, right after I got Schnee, my BEW girl. I also have 5 other Persians: Toby, a shaded silver boy, 9 years old; Jack, a black and white Persian boy, will be 6 in a few weeks; Reggie, a blue and white Persian boy, 5 years old; Strider, aka Woolly, the Great Horned-Woolly Booger, a huge blue and white boy, 4 years old; and Cyra, a blue-cream tiny girl, 3 years old. I also have a menagerie of rescued cats that range in age from 10 months to 13 years old. The two dogs are Byron, an almost 8 year old Newfoundland and Cricket, an almost 1 year old Saint Bernard rescue.

I am a college English professor and will finish my PhD in medieval and Renaissance literature very soon. I live with Terry, my long-time "other half." I don't have much time to do fun stuff right now, but when I do get time, I am a voracious reader and love photography. I also collect antique jewelry, especially from the Art Deco period.

My name is Susan and I have been a member on here for about 8 years as well. I am married to Kevin for 20 years this October but we have been together for 26. We have our own business mending boats and motors. We have 4 children, our son works for us and Cassie is my youngest at 8. We have one grand daughter Avery and another on the way.

I bred and showed persians for many years but gave it up 3 years ago partly due to a really messed up back. I was a vet tech for 10 years but had to retire from that as well.

I have 5 persians

Tinky Winky, a blue lynx point and my old grumpy lady who is 14
Tatty Catty, she is a tortie point and is 3
Pear Drop, a blue cream point who is 5
Barrel my bad tortie is 3 as well
Kissy is a flame point and is 5

They all have fancy show names but we never use them. I still miss breeding and showing them.

Your 50th Anniversary coming up!!! That is fantastic, Dianne - something few couples actually do reach. ( I only know of one personally)
I hope something really, really special is planned for this amazing and wonderful milesone!

By the way Barbara,I'm just a teeny bit behind you and Dianne in the age dept.. closing in on 67, and there's a few others too who've mentioned they're around the same.
Sometime I feel a bit nostalgic on the passage of time. We all do. And how did my kids get to the age I picture myself as? (in my head. but not in my mirror) .

What a great idea Fran, especially coming from one of my first time friends on this site it must be going on 12 years or so, along with Joan.

I am Birgit, soon to be 58, still working but not for long anymore as I am on a parttime retirement scheme. I am a relationship manager for foreign banks at a major German bank.

My first persian who brought me here was my beloved Elsa who passed away in 2010. Now I am owned by my Sweet Miss Tango, she is 8 years old and is the love of my life here, we have such happy times together and we talk a lot too!

I like to read, sleep and yes you guessed it: travel. That is why I have my own private plane as my ballon shows so well
So persian cats members beware: I may show up any time....
