How many times have I heard that and never thought anything about it. Two nights ago Miss Sparky taught me where the saying came from :shock:No she is not dead but she sure could've been :?We built a frame that fits under the bed out of wood that matches the bed rails, it fits inside the bed all the way around so the girls can't get under there. We did it when we went on vacation so the sitter could take care of them, once they get under that bed you can't get them out which would be a problem. There is a verrry narrow space at the head of the bed that goes down to the floor, maybe 3 inches wide. She can't get under the bed there either so there is no where to go. That is Jim's bed and he is in Lake Powell. Two nights ago in the middlle of the night I hear a horrible scratching sound, Sparky is down there wedged between the wall and the bed and apparently has been there since I went to bed, 3 hours, trying to claw her way out :oShe was breathing hard and very stressed, I reached down and was able to grab her and pull her out, it was tight. Lani was up pacing around looking wild eyed. Sparky is still not back to normal, she looks okay, is eating okay but just doesn't open her big eyes all the way, she just looks miserable. If I had not woke up the poor girl would be in worse shape, she was hanging by the front claws, they must've got stuck in the mattress when she tryed to climb out. I am stuffing that area or somethng so that doesn't happen again. Lani knew something was wrong, she was quite frantic. I have checked Sparky out and I think she is fine, she is just way stressed, poor little girl.

Oh my gosh! What a scary sight. I'm so glad that you were able to grab her and pull her out, and I hope she recovers from her ordeal quickly.

I have sheets stuffed in there and pillows covering it now and she keeps getting on the bed and wanting to go in her hidey hole :shock:You would think she would not want to get anywhere near there, I guess she doesn't make the association :?She is fine, just very worn out and stressed, I need to find a permanent solution to blocking it. It is usually covered with the bed pillows but Jim took them with him, it is such a small area you would not imagine she could even begin to get down there :!:She is getting much more cuddling and fussing than she wants, she is not a girl that likes fussing at all, unless it is on her terms of course:!:

Be a good girl please :paw:

Sending soft hugs to your sweetheart :flower::flower::flower:
Glad her ordeal is over and she seems to be recovering from this frigthening episode. They sure can get themselves into some real pickles while exploring every nook and cranny; this a prime example.

Poor little Sparky!
I'm so glad you heard her and rescued her from her
tight squeeze!
But how funny she keeps trying to go back in there....guess she
knows Mom is always there to help should she need it!!

Purrs,
Joan

It is a lot more attractive now that she knows Momma will come get her when she can't get out!:lol:
