I had a hitchhiker coming back from the berry patch.



This is my cousin's goggie Mister. He is an evil pit bull, so I put a silly hat on him.

Were the bugs bad while you picked blueberries? Are

Can't wait for them to show up here (I'm not picking though..will buy by the flat----had enough of that when I was a kid living with my parents)

Oh..and there was the time I went with my mother-in-law to her homestead farm, and we picked and picked.
My bucket was just about full, and I had enough..said to toddler Kimmy (daughter), lets go back to the farm house.
The way she moved...it kocked over my full bucket of blueberries and spilled them all over the ground

THAT was the last time ever I went picking blueberries!

The girls missed me a little, but they are occupied with their new nanner box toy.

Yeah that was about 25 miles west of the Soo, I was picking that day with my Aunt and then back to her place in town to bake pies. On this day there was a nice wind off Lake Superior (60 degrees) and the bugs were leaving me alone, but the day before I picked in the rain and then the sun came out and it got hot and humid and the deer flies got me bad.

I love everything about blueberries, from the scoutin out pickin spots, to the pie baking. and then the eating of course.

I baked 3 pies last night. Have to freeze one for a friend and I brought 2 to work which the vultures have devoured.

Oh that looks a fabulous place! How about Blueberry muffins and yes! Blueberry Pancakes Mary once made for me (or was it Jim?) when I visited them, I will never forgot that
