Fran :flower: Thank you for your post which has raised my spirits . Your way of writing is so sincere and uplifting at the same time

Joan : :flower: Thank you for your genuine post , a friend that I have Known for many years . Lui Macavity deserves your prayers , he was so loyal and did the impossible to stay in the apartment .

K :flower: Yes , you are right it was a difficult decision that had to be made .

Dakota :flower: from the Sunshine state who also has a cat that resembles my Mambor ( before the lion cut that is ). You bet that it wasn´t easy . Thank you

Twokatz :flower: Yes there was a reason, just the same so painful to take the decision . I will be calling the new owner of Lui to see how he is doing .

Graham, I'm sorry to read that you've had to rehome Lui a very difficult decision for you all. He has been such a huge part of your life ever since you've been on P.C.com he has always been mentioned in dispatches and of course photos. Perhaps now he can be top cat in his new abode and you must be relieved you've found him a good home.
All the best to you Beppo, Mambor & of course Electra.

Cynthia : :flower:

As you have correctly stated, he has been a huge part of my life .

In remembrance of him I have unearthed this pic which was taken in November 2002 when Lui had just turned 3 years old .

Lui and me at my mothers apartment

Graham, when I saw your post my first thought was that Lui had passed away. In a way, this is harder -- not being able to understand a problem in our beloved pets that forces us to part with them. I know this must have been a terrbily hard decision for you and your mom. I'm just glad you were able to resolve it and that Lui is with someone he knows -- I'm sure the separation is as hard for him as it was for you and knowing he is with a familiar face will make it easier. :flower:

Graham, I was so sorry to read this. I know how much you and your mother love Lui.
A very difficult decision but perhaps best for all concerned. I hope that being top cat
at this gentleman's house will be what Lui has needed. It is also nice that you can still
keep in touch and find out how Lui is doing. Saying goodbye must have really tugged
at you and your Mum's hearts. I hope this move will correct the bad behavior and that
Lui can live out his remaining years with someone who will love him as you did.

special hugs,

Arlene

Graham, although it is still a very sad goodbye I was releived to hear he had just been rehomed and not passed away.
I am sure it was such a difficult decision to make...but at least you found a loving home for him where you can always check up and see how he is doing.

Tomi , Arlene , Karen :flower:

I went this morning to my mum´s house and not seeing Lui was sad . Nevertheless , a very special feeling of peacefulness invaded me . Truth be told , both cats were fighting a lot lately ----and my mum was feeling the pressure ----and Beppo felt stymied by the presence of Lui who controlled the territory particularly my mum´s bed which was his kingdom.

I do understand that the interpretation of my headline was a bit abstract and led to different interpretations . I think it all turned out to be fine , Lui is adapting well to his new environment and he will do great , very much to our satisfaction .
