2 things that concern me. 1. there are houses out back and I don't know if it belongs to someone ( eating out of the dumpster I wouln't think so.) 2. I wouldn't want it to be taken to a no kill shelter. They say there is a women that comes around and catches them and either takes them to the shelter or finds them homes.

I'm relieved that you found your kitty and very upset, disgusted that another kitty died for no reason. I don't understand people.

As for your concerns, if this little guy is eating out of dumpsters, even if he is owned, in my book, the owners have surrendered any rights to him. I personally wouldn't wait for this woman to catch him. Not only don't you know for sure what she does with them (and yes, some people trap cats for sale to labs but tell others they are being rescued ), but the sooner he's in a loving or at least not so dangerous environment, the less chance something bad will happen to him. If you don't want to keep him, go on Petfinder and find out the names of some rescue groups in your area.

Fed two other kitties by the firehouse on campus today, another one of my vet's showed me where, ( because like I said several of us feed the babies). I wonder if I can catch them, and maybe, ( but again have to look into if my vet would give me a discount. GOOD idea Bridg to see if I could at least have them spayed & neutered. I definetely think I would have to set them free. But I don't know how to let someone know they are taken care of. Can't put a collar on them with this new fence, might get hung up and choke. Any other suggestions?

There are organizations that will come and TNR (trap, neuter and release). If you're willing to feed, set up a feeding station...that's a big feeder that you fill all the time. Contact ASPCA.org and they'll put you in touch with a local group, in your area, to help you. Usually, they'll do it for a very nominal fee.

O.K everyone , have posted on black & white kitty. Me and my vet's now named him or her SOCKS it has white feet that look like socks. socks now has a new freind I feed, we call it midnight ( all black long hair kitty). They now share the same food. I would love to have someone come in capture and neuter my freinds, however it is a goverment instillation. You need I.D. to get in and out. My new expeirence today was to have a little buck (deer trapped between the new fence) It's a waste of your tax payer dollars. The poor baby kept hitting it's face against the fence to get out. They now have them trapped between two fences. I called the police service and had them open the locked gate to eventually let him out. I don't know if this is persian talk or not? But it did all start out because of feeding my ferrals at work.

I am glad you are feeding the kittys, it would be great if you could get one of the cat society to help you out. It is hard when you are on a goverment facility. That poor deer, I have seen it happen around here on farms.. animals are loosing thier habitats fast.. thanks for being such a kind person... we need more like you Pat
