'cause I've got the whine...

I know y'all are tired of my whining but who else will listen...my children are boys!

I have been dizzy (no jokes  ) since last Friday. I figured it was because my endocrinologist bumped up my thyroid meds so I called on Monday to tell him. He ordered my blood tests again...same ones I did 2 weeks ago. They just called me and said "all test were normal; continue meds as prescribed". I said, but what about me being dizzy; I know that's not right. She (the nurse) said, oh, I'll tell him that. I said, but that's why I called in the first place   . Anyhoooooo, she called me again and he said that as far as his specialties are concerned, all is good   . I said, but I'm dizzy all the time... including while I'm driving! So now I have to make an appointment with another doctor.

OK... does this seem odd? Anyone have any ideas why I'm dizzy? I feel like I've just stepped off the merry-go-round. I'm not light-headed so I don't feel faint-y. Every so often I have a palpitation as though I had a slight scare or something. Am I being weird??? Should I just ignore it?

Nooooo, definitly don't ignore it...
If this doc is no help...go see another...or ask
the other doctor who you should see concerning
the dizziness...jeeech..can't believe he is kind of just sweeping
this under the rug...
How is your blood pressure?

It's been good lately, but it is corrected with medication. I'm thinking that's the first thing they'll check when I go in.

Maybe those meds need a slight adjustment....kind
of sounds like a blood preasure kind of ailment..
Hope they find the problem and it's an easy fix, Cat!

My Mom had vertigo for a long time. Do you feel like you need to sit down? Have you had your ears checked? I have loads of sympathy for you because I HATE being dizzy, it is the worst feeling. Are you under lots of stress and anxiety? I see stars when I get super stressed out.

HUGS to you.

:? Cat my friend who has heart troubles, ect was getting dizzy one day while golfing and said it was her Blood Pressure med and needed to have it change. Maybe your other meds have to be changed too.
You would think the doctors or nurses would have thought of that first.

I see my PCP tomorrow morning. We'll see about the blood pressure then although that seems to change every time it's taken. Also, my sister suggested the ear thing as she has difficulties with the inner ear. I'm just tired of growing old but I don't like the alternative, either ;)

I have them mine is caused by my blood pressure going up or down to fast.. John has had them since his heart attack two years ago. they did all sorts of tests and really did not find out for sure what is causing them, so they put him on a mild seizure drug dapokte,it does help. it works for dizzy spells. He also has taken thyroid meds since he was 35, hypothyriod, his test showed it was to low to day so they just increased it. If your doctor did not find anything in his specialties he should have set you up with a doctor that does that.. not just shrug it off. Hope you find out soon. John say, he knows how you feel, when you are driving it is scary.
