We all go through this...new style, weight loss, color...etc

Well I am in the process of "trying" to let my hair grow. I don't want it long or anything crazy but want enough to work with for a different look. My hair has been short short for so long and now I am of course bored with it! So I'm trying to let it grow even just a couple inches. I'M GOING NUTS!!!

So I'm surfing looking for a new style within reason to shoot for when I go back for my haircut in about 3 weeks. My hair grows FAST and we didn't do anything but shape it last time...and are waiting 6 weeks instead of 4. New color too when I go in.

Anyone know of good sites to look for hairstyles?

Thanks Cat!

I saw a cut in a movie a couple weeks ago I fell in love with! Lana Parrilla was the actress in the movie and her hair was short but certainly longer than mine...LOL But it was layered with the back and sides flipping up -- I loved it! I am a ways away from that of course. I liked it mostly because of the variety of ways to style it. Right now...my hair goes ONE way and one way only. In just almost 4 weeks I have gotten some pretty good length on mine now...but looks like I am thickening up more than anything cause it was so short. I have fine hair but alot of it...so need the layers as it grows to be able not look like I haven't washed my hair for days!

I'm just hoping to come up with a reasonable plan when I see Julie next...having "almost" been a hairdresser myself, I know it isn't as easy as looking at a pic and wanting that style --your hair texture, length, face shape...so much goes into it. May look great on one person and not on you...Bobs make me look really round -- so I try to steer clear of them...but wow they are coming back in. I had an acemetrical bob a few years ago....it was cute but didn't last too long! HA HA!!

I'm about to chop my hair off because I hate blow drying it. A few styles I love...

My hairdresser has some good magazines that you can look thru, and altho my hair is short and grows fast.. I am not classic when it comes to hair .... giggle They look like they just come from the grocery or drug store...

I like some of the short ones where there are a few long pieces... and if you do streaks, do the long piece a contrast color.... (kind of like a white kitty with a pink tip on their tail... giggle)

I have a piece that I am letting grow.. giggle my hair grows so fast it drives me crazy, I have to have it cut every 5 weeks, and I am afraid to cut my bangs I am afraid I will cut "the" piece and Marlo will kill me... sigh

Those are pretty kira ~

The problem is that you still don't look like the girls in the pictures. :(

Everytime I show a picture to my hairdresser,
she always complians I keep picking out styles
that aren't suitable for my hair texture
And she is always complaining about the cow lick
I have in the back..kind of to the side....
For most of my adult life, I had a wedge...really liked
that style..short without being "bald"....hair with movement.

Lately, it's been really short..last summer, it was longer on one side
in the front & one side with a whole lot of spiking on the other side and back and top.
But I get tired of using product.

I need to make an appointment for next week, my bangs are hanging in my eyes,
and I find they get straggling looking if too long.
Think I will take a look at Cat's site she posted see if I can come up with something
that will make Rachelle role her eyes again

Why are all the "short" hairdo's chin length or longer? :?
Everyone I look at and like are all too long
I wish I could go as short as...forget her name..beautiful black
actress....that would be so easy to maintain..but would make me look
like I had no hair.....

You should see me.. I was always on the edge re my hair from age 19 on.. I am Italian American with afro style hair if I don't pull it straight  I am a sight! At age 58 I am "me"~ got the highlighted hair going on that looks blondish and the whatever style if I don't pull my hair straight w/a dryer and super big round comb.

Yeah.. wish I had hair like my dog and cats~ now that'd be way easier! So I am not one to ever tell anyone what to do with their hair! Sure I have had straight hair envy all my life I think tho ya know as ya get older it's all relative!!!!

Be YOU!!!! ;)
