Hi my name's Stephanie and my avatar is my late persian Cassie :(
One week ago today I lost her. Today I picked up her ashes and it's just a quiet sad day in my house.
She had a tough start to life and was the most precious pet I've ever known, and my heart feels empty. It may sound weird, reading through these persian websites and seeing pictures of cats that look so much like her have comforted me.... I've read through lots of these posts and thank you so much for the ones that made me laugh or smile. Boy do I miss her.
I wanted to write a short little story about her life and the meaning it has for me... but I'm sure being a newbie here nobody's ready for a 5 minute long read :) But I will someday.

Anyway, I haven't decided if or when I will get another persian, but until then I will be sticking around here learning and reading.

Everyone have a great day :flower:
Stephanie

Welcome Stephanie and I am so sorry for your loss. (((HUGS))) I just lost my precious Maggie last month, and the house feels empty despite the other kitties here.

I, for one, would like to hear about Cassie if you wanted to share. She looked like a sweet girl.

As for getting another Persian or not, all I can tell you is that the loss of Cassie will be there whether or not you get another cat. The difference is, with another cat, you will have (hopefully) more happiness in your life. But only YOU will know when it's the right time.

Hello and welcome, Stephanie. I, too, would love to read about your beloved Cassie. You might want to break it up into chapters and include photos, if you have them. We all share, in a small way, whenever one of our pets passes on. Accept my sympathy on your loss. {{{HUGS}}}

Wow what a nice welcome from everyone :) thank you!
Well I definitely will talk about Cassie when I can then, it's nice to know people would want to read it..... I'm going to dig through my computer to find pics, and as I can think of her without a flood of tears I will post.

Thanks again for warming my weekend

Welcome Stephanie :!: I'm so sorry to hear about
your beloved Cassie, it is very difficult to say
good bye to such a dear friend.

Of course we'd love to hear Cassie's story,
and if you do decide you'd like another Persian,
well sorry, but you'll have nothing but encouragement
here :!: Most of us have hmm, well definitely more
than one. ;) :D Pet's are one of life's greatest
pleasures.

Welcome aboard.

Welcome, this is a great group of caring individuals on this site. I had to put down one of my kitties 3 weeks ago today, she was diagnosed with bone cancer in November 2011 and it took her very quickly.

We would love to hear all about your Cassie when you are up to it. Don't be afraid to let another kitty into your heart.
