I guess you don't remember my telling you this, but I do offer grooming and already groom for several clients that have bought their persians from me. I go into town once a month and do a degreasing bath, shampoo,condition and hand blow dry for probably a lot less than a groomer who really specializes in dogs would charge you. I can also do sanitary clips or anything else. I just bought a very nice Wahl Bravura clipper. Since I do show my cats, I am pretty experienced in this area and since I already come out there for another lady, it would be very easy for me to groom for you too.

Yes the best would be to learn from a breeder. If you can go to the breeder you bought the cat from would be best. There are videos. It can be scary at first but after a while it becomes easier. There are some good videos on You Tube. Purrinlot cattery has some videos you can buy. No 1 is never get water in the nose or eyes. Don't massage the coat like your own hair. Use special combs and products. Comb out the coat fully before the bath. Watch a groomer do the job and try to learn yourself. They could be bathed every month and should be combed daily.
Mobile groomers are hard to find.
