Hello - I am happy I found this site. It's nice to share news about my new kitten with people, who like me, adore Persians. I am the new mommy to a beautiful bi-color female kitten. We are currently calling her "Muffin" until we decide on a name. I got her from a wonderful breeder, who shows her cats and kittens, as well.

She is such a sweetie! She purrs non-stop! The first night she purred all night long.

I look forward to meeting everyone and learning about your Persians.

Cassie

Thanks for responding! It is so great to meet people who love Persian cats as much as I do. My husband is thrilled about this site too, because I'm sure he is sick of me talking about them all the time :)

Jen- I live in Baltimore city now, but grew up in Westminster, Maryland. The breeder's name is Noralyn from Velvetkist Persians. She is located in Western Maryland and I highly recommend her. My sister-in-law used to live in Bowie, Maryland. So, I am somewhat familiar with the area.

I already have one Persian named Lady Fi Fi. Fi Fi was a rescue and was approximately one year old when I adopted her. She is such a great laid back cat. I am including a picture of her below. Muffin is my first Persian kitten. Any advice on getting her to use the liter box. It's really the only issue I have so far. I put her in the box throughout the day, especially after she eats or drinks, but she hasn't gone in the box yet. I discovered some poo stuck to her backside this morning, so I am going to trim that area tomorrow. Basically, she tried to go to the bathroom somewhere and I can't figure out where :oSorry for the graphic details. She continues to purr, play and eat/drink. I am taking her to the vet on Wednesday. Do any of you think it could be the type of liter box I have? Perhaps she was used to a different type of box at her old home. I am including another picture of Muffin, as well.

I look forward to seeing pictures and hearing stories about your Persian kitties.

Cassie

I would say just keep trying with the litter box and putting her in it and maybe not give her free roam of the house just yet until she gets it...keep her in a room with the pan and it may help.

Lady FiFi is adorable!!!! Looking forward to many more pics of your babies.
