I've been thinking alot lately about getting a persian cat...

We've had our two cats now for about 7 years but the persian breed is very pretty.

Anyway, just thought I'd say hi... might get one very soon...

Dan in British Columbia.

Hi Dan, by all means get a Persian, then you will have new writing material on how your cat trained you:) You can call it "Kitty Trained" ;)

Alright guys, you're going to make me confess!

Yes, I'm genuinely curious if there's a major attitude difference in the breed... There seems to be from what I've read...

I know the old tale of how cats train us... But truly they are very smart and are trainable...

Dan, get a Persian!! They might even stay out of your walls!:lol:And for most of them, catching mice is too much like work. They would prefer you catch them for them. ;)

With Persians you are never quite sure what personality you will get...but you are sure to get a LOT of personality. That is my experience. Even my grumpy Persian is a real sweetheart...she's just not super affectionate. My affectionate one is very sweet but very naughty. They are hilarious loveable things. Get one and you won't be sorry!

Oh we know they are trainable but they are smarter than the average cat and WAY above being trained, they are royalty and it is very clear to them they have servants to do thier bidding. :D

Hi Dan...welcome! :paw:

If you decide to get a Persian, you won't regret it. I never regretted adopting Sasha. She taught me many things--probably more than I ever taught her!

Oh, Persians! They are the most cool cats ever! Beautiful, sweet, all attitude.
It's my dinner time now. Aren't you suppose to serve me? Isn't that your role in life? I'll wait here while you hurry up."
