Hi, my name is Julie and I am in the process of adopting a 6 yr old Persian. She was abandoned on the streets of a city nearby. Even through that, she's still loveable and sweet. I am hoping to come on here and get advice/information, whatever wisdom you can provide me with. I am a cat lover but have never owned a Persian. I fell in love when I met her.

Welcome and thank you so much for adopting a persian! You will find that once you are a persian owner, you will love all persians forever and will always want them around. They are absolutely the sweetest, most adorable cats I have ever had.

And welcome Julie and Shadab. You will adore your persians. I feed my persian half and half and milk occasionally. She loves it. But mostly water. Not too much milk. And also whipped cream which she loves. I have a silver. She's 15 years old now.

I'll leave diet and the milk issue to the experts on this board.

Hi to Julie and Shadab!!! We are glad to have both of you here! :flower:

Shadab, my cats get a lactose free milk called CatSip. It seems to be a lot easier on their stomachs. One of our members here told me about it and I've been very happy with it, but I have no idea if it is available to you in Pakistan.

Julie, have you gotten your Persian yet?
