So, I had to share because I was really proud of myself, and you guys are my faves. I had my first league singles tennis match tonight and I didn't win, but I feel like I played really well for my first game. The lady I was playing had been doing it four years and tonight was my very first night! The sets went 7-5, 6-3... so I lost, but I was really proud of myself for going out and trying. I get SOO nervous doing social things with new people.

But... HOLY CRAP YOU GUYS. Playing two hours of singles tennis is SOOO hard! I feel like I'm in decent shape, but I am lying in bed right now icing my back and my butt :roll: I'm such a wimp! I don't even want to think about what tomorrow is going to feel like... :? The cats want to play so I clearly got out the laser pointer because my hand/wrist seems to be the only thing that doesn't hurt :roll:

How is it you can play tennis for 2 hours yet you can't walk through your house without stubbing your toes?

lol. jk lady. That is really awesome. Takes a lot of stamina to play tennis. You are going to be so sore tomorrow! LOL

That's what I tell myself about golf (I walk, not cart) 8-)

Hope you are able to move today...but if you are like me, and I went back to the gym...it was
always 2 days later that I couldn't move :?

Yeah... I'm moving a little slowly :lol: not too too bad, but you're right, the second day is ALWAYS the worst. :?

Congrats! Sounds like you're off to a great start. I was never very good at tennis but it sounds like you have a talent for it. I think the key to establishing a successful exercise program is finding something you enjoy doing, and tennis sounds like it for you.

I do find that the second day is usually worse than the day after! But then you'll recover quickly and as your fitness improves it will become less and less of an issue.
