I am UBER frustrated! I tried converting Zeke to the "Blue" brand. He was on Wellness. Now he has diarrhea horribly. I have had to give him three butt baths so far. I took his food away and gave him some meds for the tummy that the vet gave me that I had leftover. He is sleeping now beside me.

I guess we will just stick with the Wellness. Back to Petsmart I go tomorrow.

Just wondering why you wanted to change, Wellness is a much better food, IMO, I would stay with it. I wish mine would eat the dry but they won't but the canned is the only one they can eat without issues.

Hope it clears up quickly.

Oh. Someone told me that blue is better. Oops.

Well, he likes Wellness anyways. So i will stick with that. I just wonder how long I will have to deal with the muddy butt. Ugh. I feel so bad for my Zekester. I was just trying to be a good mummy!! :(

Thanks for your post and letting me know this. :D

Now he's throwing up. And had more diarrhea right after. Should I take him to the vet? Or should I wait to see if he gets better as he eats the wellness again? My vet already thinks I am a kitty hypochondriac, by the way.

Thanks for your help.

I would fast him for 24 hours and take him to the vet.

You don't want him to get dehydrated. They can give him sub-q fluids that will make him feel better and it will only cost about twenty bucks. Just went through this with Chunk. I would still with the Wellness, I think it's a good food and if he's doing well on it, there is really no reason to change. Different foods work for different kitties. Puffy thrives on TOTW.. but it makes Chunk sick. So, for now he is on Iams, which I'm not a fan of, but it works for him right now. Then he gets his grain-free wet food in the morning and evening. I've come to realize that what WE want for them is always best. I was trying to give Chunkers food that he just couldn't tolerate. So, Iams it is for now. :)

Melly, I have tried so many dry/wet/raw foods with WW and most result in horrible diarrhea. When he eat raw minced baby chics his stools were firm but he started to refuse to eat this. Now he has cooked chicken with a taurine supp. He has dry for sensitive which he eats very little off. He eats LOTS of chicken though. I hope you get wee Zekey boy sorted.....runny poops has reduced me to to tears...when it is happening all the time.

Zeke and WW are handsome boy bookends!

Smush had a soft stool period at the 14-16 week mark, but has been fine since. She made the transition from Iams kitten to TotW just fine, apart from some gas. She still won't eat canned, but never nags for food either.

Do let us know when you find a food that works for Zeke! I find the sensative feline digestive system very interesting.

You mean you find it very annoying? LOL!

The vet wants me to take him in the morning. They think he may be dehydrating, so I will go in at 8 am. I am so worried about him. He has been fine ( I thought). He was eating the BLUE dry just fine all month. I did try to give him the wet though, and since his tummy has been messed up. I sure hope I didn't do alot of damage and that the vets can get it sorted out.

I have put his food away, but left the water out. I figure if he is dehydrating, then he hopefully will drink a little on his own.
