I know this is ridiculous, but me taking one of my cats to the vet is the most stressful thing in the world to me. Chunk goes in for his checkup and shots tonight. And I am a freaking nervous wreck. I am terrified he will have a reaction to his rabies shot (i know not everyone supports rabies, but they go on the porch, so I like them to have it)

I know someone gave me a great pep talk a while ago, and I could use one right about now. It's GOOD to take them to the vet, Kira. Keeps them healthy pants.

Awww Sweetie! It is good to take them to the vet. And this is a routine check up...his rabies will be fine. He is just like any other baby and need to have those check-ups to ensure he is staying fine. Chin up, kiss that baby boy and take him to the vet to make sure he is growing and acting just as he should.

BIG HUGS to you!!!
Kisses to Chunk!!! And of course Puffy too

You'll be fine, Kira, and so will the Chunkster. He will charm the pants off the vet. [Can I take him to see my vet? ]

I have acted like a freeked out little girly all week sobbing my tail of woe to anyone who will listen. seriously!

Chunk will be fine and will think it just another adventure. It's all pretty routine stuff. The fact you have anxiety about his vist just shows what a loving and caring mommzie you are. :)

Oh, they love CHunk. It's a bit obsessive. THey are so nice to the babies though, they let me drop them off around lunchtime and pick them up later if they have tests to run, or if I have meetings. THey play with them all day and carry them around. Last time, they gave CHunk five different toys and let him pick out his favorite and sent it home with us. CHunk is a character, people always say 'OH MY GOSH HE IS SO CUTE' when they see him, and when they see Puff they say "OH MY GOSH SHE IS BEAUTIFUL'... very different 8-)

I've never considered boarding my cats until this vet. THey have huge cages with windows and holes for them to climb through and the windows look out into the waiting room so they can watch people all day. They even have Feliway diffusers in each one. I am considering leaving the babies there when I go to China for work later this year.

It will be ok! I need to take all 3 of mine in for their rabies and your post reminded me of that. Just make sure you have the vets number so if he has any reaction you can call. :paw:

Yes Chunk will be fine it's just you that needs the rescue remedy I think  I have taken my "kids" to the Vet more than I take myself to the doctor or any healthcare practitioner! I remember back when Alaska was a kitten however it used to be very stressful for me too after finding out her Dad had feline leukemia and had to be pts at age 5. That made me super stressed out... however we went and we went and we went.. BTW Winston has always charmed the pants off everyone as well! One of the persons that worked in the back asked me if he could have one of Alaska's kittens if she were going to have some.. that was when she was 8 years old or so.. he was so taken with Alaska's look and thought her still a youngster!

Just take deep breaths and tell yourself it's for the kitty and his health and wellbeing~ you'll both be OK!

Kira -- Chunky will be fine! He's a big healthy, happy fellow, so there's no reason for you be scared or upset for him.

You on the other hand need the Rescue Remedy!!!
