Hi there, is anyone else having problems with their persian throwing up from Royal Canines' Long Hair Indoor? I've tried it twice, using only chicken-based food inbetween for six months, but my persian is still trowing up right after he is done eating! I havn't tried Royal Canine's Persian on him since my local store doesn't provide them unless you buy a BIG sack of food. And if he can't eat it I would be wasting the money....

Right now he is on RC-Sensible... it works, but I would like to have something for his fur - he is throwing up hairballs like never before right now :(

I hope someone can answer this for you. I am thinking of trying it on Dakota since he has hairball issues and vomits too. I am afraid to buy a large bag because if he doesn't like it, it will go to waste. I have gone through this with some of the other hairball foods.

I wonder if there are vets, ect, who have small samples. I haven't ask mine yet, but I will the next time I am there.

I stopped using Royal Canin several years ago when my boy, Spencer blocked from the Persian formula. Not every cat can tolerate it as you are seeing. I would find a food that he can tolerate and has good nutrition and use that.

I recently tried RC Hairball forumula as it came highly recommended, but had tummy issues with both my boys. I went back to Iams and got the new one for seniors hairball. I just thought it might be too rich for them.

I have been using RC with my % Persians now for about 4 months hairballs have stopped and stools are soft formed. I mix the Persian 30/30 with the Selective. Of course everyone has different things they like but Ollie is pretty sensitive and thats why I switched have been happy but thats just me :D

I feed Elvis and Red RC. I have tried to switch Elvis to a grain free food, but, he won't have it... he wants his RC!!!!!!!! Does well with it and I don't have hairball problems.

I still have the girls on RC kitten 36, but they are having issues with scratching and dirty ears now so I will be trying to find a good grain free food they will eat and tolerate.
