If Colleen decides to pursue this prospect, and if by chance is selected... I was thinking she might consider offering to donate to one of the many horse rescue organizations. They do great work in the equestarian field...more good could come from a terrible set of circumstances.

Fran, this is EXACTLY what I was thinking as I read the first part of your note. Not an offer to do it before she is selected, but just as a thank you if she is. I think in that way Colleen won't feel that she is offering anything to sway her decision, but it would be a lovely way to thank her if Juliette does indeed come to live with her.

I send my best wishes for all of them - it is such a hard thing to have to do. :(

Tomi, yes, exactly as you've described - if the horse came to live with them only.... and as a thank-you.
Though this woman doesnt want to accept money, believe this gesture is one that she'd find very gratifying and be very much in favour of.
The common bond these two women have shared over these last years is their great love of horses, and, as with all animals... many in need of help. :flower:

Fran, I agree with others, Karma, is two fold. Think about it this way, she loves her horse dearly, and now worries about leaving this world and needs to find a good home for her beloved horse. Here is your granddaughter, turned 15 looking for a horse that has good traits and been loved dearly, I see it as fate, when she looks at the horse, she will see all the love the nice lady gave her and the trust she had to leave it with your grand daughter and daughter.. :paw:

I am a little late on this topic but just wanted to express how touching it is... all of it.
The woman only wanting a wonderful home for her horse, your daughter for not wanting to take advantage (even thought she won't be at all)....just all good people and intentions involved and I really hope it all works out for them :flower:
Has Colleen met Juliette yet?

BTW FRAN!!! You have been missed :D :flower:
