Oh, Linda. I'm so sorry, how did I miss this? It is so stressful to have a sick baby. Hugs to you and the herd. HOw is she feeling this evening?

She doesn't seem to be going as often -- down to 2-3 trips in a half hour as opposed to 5-7. The amount is up slightly. So, I think the antibiotics are kicking in. Fingers crossed!!!

And since no one asked, I'll ask:

How are you doing, Linda?

Crappy!!! Between not much sleep last night and not getting any naps today because of one tiny tortie, I'm exhausted. Tomorrow I have to teach -- what I have no clue! And, as of 1:30pm, the emergency chocolate supply was totally depleted. Plus, I think I've gained 10 lbs from stress eating and drinking.

I hope you catch a few good zzz's before getting up to go to work tomorrow. I hate to be a next day zombie and I don't even work!

Well, Isabel is back to tiny pee-balls this morning and lots of trips to the boxes. She even pee-ed on the bed -- 1 drop.

When are these antibiotics going to start working?!

I'm a wreck....

I don't know if your Vet gave Isabel an a/b injection to get her started tho that's what my Vet usually does and then I start the next day w/the oral a/bs. I know Isabel must be miserable and you're even more miserable bcuz you know that~ wish I could wave a magic wand and make her better STAT! Sending Isabel some good urinary tract vibes..

OH do I feel for you! Seems like a never ending worry in my house with Maury's past issues. I'm a worry wort too so I'm sure that doesn't help. Hang in there Linda -- a nice stiff drink might be in order.

Having just got through something similar, I feel your pain. Hang in there! The Clavamox works wonders! You will have a happy kitty in no time!

But a little knowledge can be dangerous! What if it's not an UTI? What if it's the wrong antibiotic? What if......

The thing is, other than looking annoyed because I follow her around to the boxes, she isn't crying out in pain nor is there blood. She's jumping around, using her cat tree, sleeping nicely -- she is acting normal except for the peeing part.

And I'm at work -- I feel like I've deserted her.

Linda, you may want to check out giving her Cosequin (spelling?)- you know the stuff they use for joints. I read that it helps with cysitis also. A friend of mine just had problems with one of her cats and the vet put him on cosequin as well as the antibiotic. it is supposed to sooth the lining of the bladder, I believe.
Now try to get some rest or the cats will be nursing you instead of you taking care of them!

Dianne -- thanks, I'll look into the Chinese herb (mushroom?). Other than going frequently and tiny amounts, she doesn't seem to be in pain. No crying, no wincing, no anxiety on her face. I thought about extra fluids, but.... well, I have to go to work tomorrow, so hubby has to monitor her and, like a typical guy, he can't tell one cat's pee-ball from another's.

Paula -- thanks! I passed the hug along to her and she just looked up at me "I suppose you will tell me THAT was necessary."

Linda, I don't know what it is precisely, I have never seen the bottle it comes in but it is a combination of stuff. You may be able to do a searchon it.
