My Dylan was always a silent cat apart from purring but Duncan does make a lot of noise when he needs attention. Once he is sitting on me he is happing and just starts to purr. It could be that he wants extra attention.

Sasha did that wailing thing starting around 15. My vet said that happens a lot as they age, particularly when they start to lose their hearing. If they don't hear normal noises, they will cry as a sort of radar. Once I answered her, she would usually come running.

I really am nearly shocked with Alaska that having Lola here seems to have made a difference in her nighttime wailing. Not that Lola responded to her because she didn't do anything but look at her like "what?"

I started leaving night lights on in every room and maybe that helped too though in the last few months I've stopped doing that and AK is still much quieter than before. She still wails but not nearly as much as before Lola came back to live with us.

Bluie is 12 and half and just recently she has started wanting to be closer to me more. laying beside me sitting near me, wanting me to hold her and pet her. I think it is her age. sometimes she even seems confused. they get old just like us...
