Lion-O slobbers when petted and purring.I wonder is something wrong with him?I haven't seen anything like that happen any other time and I can't remember any other kitty who would lick our faces so much(no complaint,we enjoy it!)

Sounds like Lion-O suffers from TMS syndrome -- too much spit syndrome.

One of my herd (a non-Persian) will drool and drool and drool more if he's in the right mood and I'm willing to sit there scratching him and being drooled on. There's nothing wrong with him. Spencer, one of my Persians, will literally soak himself with drool anytime he goes in a car. It doesn't matter if it's one block or 2 hours -- actually you get the same amount of drool either way. :?But he's physically healthy -- mentally, well, he needs to work on the car phobia. ;)

Bottomline, just enjoy it and keep a towel handy!

I have a couple of girls who drool quite a bit when really getting into petting. As long as your baby is acting okay and had his teeth checked by the vet, I wouldn't worry. Drooling sometimes can be a symptom of dental problems.
