Hi it's me again!
Well thanks guys I ended up telling those people no with that tabby half persian/half something. They didnt have him registered, they didnt know if parents were FIV? i think its called positive or negative.. he does look very healthy but not worth 1k.

Especially since my dream is to have a very fluffy persian Like the kind I see in all of your pictures!
The problem is I've been searching for months and its so hard to find anything good in all of Canada. I do want a doll face not nose-in, and i do want lots of fur, small ears, big paws.. I dont care about the color anymore as long as I can find a cute kitty.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask.. but if anyone knows any breeders or places currently selling really cute, healthy persians that I described let me know. I'll take it from anywhere in Canada (by shipping) im from Nova Scotia though.
& if theres some in the states, maybe I can even do shipping form there? I don't want to spend over 900 tho
....I want to avoid scams and bad places like cozy kittens which I heard so many scary things about

Question: are you totally set on a kitten? I ask because another place to look is with shelters and rescue groups. Sadly, there are many Persians in these places. Check both Petfinder.com and Petharbor.com

Glad you checked out that person selling the adorable kitten. When you search for a cat/kitten through kijiji and the like, you do run a risk of supporting backyard breeders. As LindaH mentioned, there are rescue shelters that offer Persians. The one where I found my two in Montreal is Animal Adoption Montreal and it has a good reputation. The cat will be FIV/FLV free and receive its vaccinations and is neutered. The animals get vet care if needed. One of mine was treated for an ulcer in his eye, for example.
http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/QC35.html Quebec is rife with unscrupulous backyard breeders and, unfortunately, too many people discard unwanted pets, especially at moving time. I don't believe they ship cats, but you will have to ask. I know some of their cats have found homes in other provinces and in the States. At the moment, they have at least four Persians and two Himalayans. One Persian is listed as young, but she is around 2.5 years old. They do have a gorgeous silver-shaded Persian of 11 months, unfortunately declawed, who was given up because of allergies. All their cats are groomed, fed well, and definitely socialized.

that info was lost with the big crash we had.

There are some good breeders in Nova Scotia....actually all across Canada.
There used to be one in Bible Hill, NS that had outstanding cats...another in
Dartmouth that had himmies to die for.
Melitta who lives on the south shore I believe has very nice persians...wish I could
remember her website or even the name of her cattery.

If you are really set on getting a kitty and not rescuing..do a search of persian catteries
in Nova Scotia...look for a breeder that shows (although some good breeders don't, this will
give you an idea of the kind of cats they have)
I'd stay away for Kijiji...most reputable breeders advertize thier cats on their web sites, I think
you will find mostly unserious breeders on sites like Kijiji.
You may have to be put on a waiting list for next litter...depending on what they had during
the breeding season.
Make sure the cattery tests for PKD and are free of ringworm and all other nasties.

You may even check at the vets if they know of any good persian breeders in your area.

I just came in to support you. It is VERY hard to find a reputable breeder of Persians in Canada. I want you to know my story of Kijiji. I bought my handsome guy below from an ad on kijiji. I could NOT find a good breeder in Western Canada. I found an extreme face breeder, but wanted a doll face. Then I was looking at a breeder in Florida who would be willing to send the kitten on a plane. I could just not see a tiny kitten in a plane with at least one stop so I went to Kijiji.
I love our Michelanglo, but he came with many health issues that were treatable, but expensively. I would much rather have spent more for a healthy kitten. I really don't know his background, so I am constantly aware that something coudl pop up.
I have found a cat rescue online and have seen one Persian adult. But I know your pain wanting your very own kitten to raise.
I just wish you luck. There are many of us willing to spend good money on a healthy Persian kitten in Canada when there are no viable adoptive alternatives.

Aw thank you all soo much! I've actually already seen that site, and yeah I'll have to ask her if she knows of anyone else.
I can't believe how hard it is to find a good persian in Canada.
Also thank you for the kijiji story because I do hear that a lot, a lot of people will sell unhealthy persians so I have to be really careful. I know that boy I posted a video of looked healthy, but again I don't know anything about him really.. so if anything were to happen I'd be helpless. So having a breeder you can call and ask for advice if the cat were to get sick early on is always better.
I'll keep looking, onto month 3 of nonstop searching haha
