Thank you Dr M! Not our usual vet so I was suspicious.

I just had a bit of a freak out. Michelangleo, released from his cage this morning, had energy to burn, and before I could do anything, ran like no animal with that much fur SHOULD be able to, ran up the 6 ft cat tree, or part way anyway, stopped, something hurt and fell backwards to the ground.

I took him to the grooming room and he was such a good boy. He purred through the usual grooming session and that gave me opportunity to actually 'look' at his incisions. Dr M explained to me that one * hadn't fallen into place, so Michelangelo might have incisions more like a spay. My imagination had fixed up a horrid and huge incision, but in fact, when I turned him upstidedown they were only two tiny ones about an inch long.

I am like, 'That's it?' Yes, that's it. And one on his *, which are there, but empty. This vet did an outstanding job. Even Paula the Squeamish, can look now and feel confident that his innards are not going to fall out at any point during the day. Needless to say, said cat tree is now laying down on the carpet.

I hope Michelangelo has some clear sailing, he deserves that much.

Right now he is running around and ... WHAT IS THAT NOISE THEY MAKE? chirping? slurping? Purting? So cute.

Isabella has just made her way to school, and that means he is all MINE.
hugs

Paula, I'm so glad to hear your little guy is doing okay!!!! Give him a hug from me! (And tell Donatello to go sculpt something and leave Michelangelo alone ;) )
 That made me laugh. Thank you for not assuming that I named him after 'NINJA TURTLES' One of my son's friends said, 'Hey, you have two of the Ninja Turtles, I gasped and said all drama, 'They are named after Renaissance Artist, not NINJA TURTLES.'

I agree, but my son and his friends are 11 after all.

At this very moment, Michelangelo is running faster and jumping higher than any animal with that much fur SHOULD be able to. I can't stop him. Tonight he will be crated again.
He is a brave little bunny.

Is he getting pain meds by chance? We had to take the pain meds away after one surgery, Sparky felt TOO good and wouldn't slow down, they were afraid she would tear something. No pain meds made her a little slower. ;)She wasn't having major pain or we would've given them and contained her. Wait did I say contain Sparky :shock:Thank the good lord we didn't have to try that, I can't imagine containing that cat

Those should have worn off by the time I got him home. He shows bursts of energy, then sleeps much of the day, thank goodness.

This morning, I came into the room and he was sitting so patiently waiting for me to let him out of his cage. He ate, burst into action and is now sleeping soundly. I checked his incisions, what looked a little swollen yesterday now looks great.

He gets his stitches out in 8 days and counting.

I am on my way to Costco.......anyone need anything?
