I'm confused....
Did you give her 30 days in writing that you were vacating?
Is your rent paid for the month of December?
If so..the room is still yours until the last day of the month...
you should be able to go in and retrieve your stuff until then.
I wouldn't worry about her trying to sue you for emotional upset...heck,
if that were possible..I'd be a rich lady now for all the times I have been
s r e w e d by tenants...
Renting is not always a postive thing, but then, being a landlord is not a bed of
roses either.
We just had a tenant move out...we are having to pay someone to clear his junk out
of the apartment...so far, we have filled a dumpster...and not done yet...guess who
has to pay for that?
Sue him you may suggest? What for, you can't get blood from an apple..or however the saying goes...
Besides the junk he left in the apartment, there is a car in front of the apartment that is a
piece of crap, not driveable..
We called the police for advise on how to get rid of this legally...we have to pay to have it
towed to some impound place.....tenant is never going to want this vechicle....but should
we call someone just to come and get it to crush it for metal, said tenat could come after us
for destroying his property...never mind that said property was abandoned on our property.
I could go on and on and on of the horrors we have been left with when tenants have moved out,
and the destruction and filth...
My dream is for someone to come along and buy this property, so we can be rid of dealing
with these types...
Anyone want a hectar of water front property??
Would make a fantastic site for condos overlooking the bay...
Go get your stuff Jess, while your rent is still paid up..bring your mom and or dad...
and should she give you a problem, call the police and ask for assistance...
