He sometimes stops by my computer when I'm reading posts and he said "Wow! Who is THAT!" I was looking at the pictures of you and your family at Christmas. He knows about your health issues and when I mentioned that you said you had brought out "the wig" for the occasion, he said this (and I quote) ....

I never even noticed her hair. She has such a beautiful face. She literally glows. Gorgeous!

Bryan is not a man who compliments lightly. And I think it is wonderful that he sees exactly what we see.

Oh my gosh I have a big red face reading this
I usually slob about with no wig when I am in the house, thought I would make the effort for xmas. (part of it was so I looked well for my family, my brothers have not seen my bald head. I think the baldness can be quite dramatic and makes you look very ill, I wanted to look like the old Ellen for them)
My wee mom bought me false eyelashes which where a nightmare to put on

Ellen I could not even tell it wa a wig, looks natural and perfect and well if we are without hair what the heck, it will come back or we use: a wig
As my affection was more "downstairs" I did not lose all my hair but yes it thinned out.
Is back to normal now, bit more grey but then hehe I am on the go for 60....and have all the right to be grey don't I.

I didn't lose all my hair, but, I have very thick, coarse, wavy hair. It thinned and acted strange ..... and I cut it short and stopped coloring it... and surprisingly I have not gone back to color... it is very freeing not to have to worry about it and I like it. I have some places where I have strange waves and curls.. but, hey if that is all I have to worry about.. then I am happy. It is back to being thick and growing very fast, as a matter of fact my hair stylist told me to stop taking the bioten that I started taking for my hair and skin after the chemo and radiation. Grows like weeds.

I had really really long thick hair and when I found out about the treatment I got it cut into a bob which I loved. The first FEC treatment just thinned my hair which the nurses where suprized by (they said most peoples falls out), When I began the new chemo it started to fall out like crazy, I got fed up with it on the pillow. My mum cut it short in floods of tears, bless her. I eventaully got Stevie to shave it and he done his too, I actually found shaving it quite liberating. I have 3 wigs and the one in the picture is a real hair one, it is brilliant My eyebrows have thinned a lot but some are holding in there. Judy I am glad to hear it grows back quickly, I don't care if mine is curly/straight/grey/anything.

Agreed, our Ellen is gorgeous. Wig or no wig, she is a beauty!

Birgit this made me chuckle. I am really happy that I do not have to shave my legs anymore, there has to be some advantages to this treatment
I am really comfortable in the house without a wig, I have grown really used to it. I have many greys too Birgit, my mum went grey really young and I follow in her footsteps, it's no big deal... I think grey hair is quite cool.
