I've never been one to discipline pets. It's a struggle for me because they look at me with those big eyes and furry faces and I melt.

Puffy is going thru a monster phase. OMG. She has started burrowing under my covers at about 4am and biting my ankles! She does this because she is hungry and wants me to get up! She is such a stinker. Then, I pick her up and bring her up by the pillows and she will purr and purr and go back to sleep. Fifteen minutes later, we repeat this process. She is so naughty! Then, when I kick her out of bed, she goes and pushes her ball around the turbo track as fast as she can. She is so funny, but SO naughty! Then she will proceed to walk ACROSS my face and meow until I get up and feed her. I feed her her canned food, she sucks all the juice off of it, leaving the meaty bits, and then meows and meows for more... I'm spending a lot of money on TOTW juice ...

Did your kitties go thru a naughty phase? Is this like kids and the terrible twos or do I need to wrap my ankles before bedtime?

Blackjack does exactly the same and he's 7, most mornings at 5 am he makes as much noise as he can, walks over me, jumps on me, if
I try to ignore him he rattles and plays with the drawer handles, and when I get up and feed him, he also licks off all the jelly and leaves
the meat, then he often goes back to sleep in my place on the bed!

My partner is only home at the weekends and loves him to bits, naturally Blackjack doesn't do it when he's home.

Snowy will sometimes jump up on the bed, run across me, then jump down and gallop down the hall. Sounds like a herd of elephants!

She went through a phase where she would lick off the gravy and leave the solid bits, but she's been eating it all lately. I found one flavor that she seems to like better than the others and I've been sticking to it.

Try time outs...or just consistent behavior. With Nannerpuss...her naughty phases come and go. Our biggest issue with her is being on the dinner table and trying to steal food. If she does not take no for an answer we have to lock her in the bathroom. She also jumps on the bed early some days for attention while we are trying to sleep...I cover my head with the blanket some mornings because otherwise she will park herself on top my head and start licking me. Its cute...but not when you want to sleep. LOL.

I'm fortunate they do not do any of that. They free-feed so don't wake me up to eat although TK gets pumpkin and she does want it as soon as my feet hit the floor. She doesn't get on the bed with me much and patiently waits for me. However, that being said, the minute the feet hit the floor she's very vocal in telling me to hurry up! LOL

Ohh Puffy free feeds too. That doesn't matter. She wants that juice from the TOTW can... SUCH A STINKER

I feed them wet catfood at dinnertime. They have kibble available all the rest of the time. They never wake me up to feed them, just to make sure I am still breathing and to give them attention. They don't do that as much as they used to. At most, Bogart will tap me lightly on the shoulder (he's so polite!) and then vault over me, poke me in the nose with his and then curl up and purr next to me (where he had been sleeping before he got up to pee). Humphrey used to be the one to meow loudly and try to wake me up, but he has more or less given up on that. Half the time he is sprawled out on the other side of the bed or else he is sleeping in one of the cat trees. He gets his cuddle time when we are both awake.

Long story short, it may just be a phase.

Get used to it Kira...Lewy gets me up at 3:30am, has
done forever, so, in turn the dog gets up, everyone
has 1st breakfast at that time, then, we return
to bed.

Around 5:30-6ish, we all get up, and Lewy and Cabot
have 2nd breakfast, sometimes Inky joins in. Vanna
on the other had gets up for breakfast about 3pm.

I figure it's just easier to get up and feed them rather
than listening to Lewy howl, have him stomp across
my face or alternatively sneeze on me.

I have been wanting to ask the same thing. Dakota has been a terrorist for weeks. He plays ping pong around 4AM and if that doesn't get us up, he takes a running leap and hits the window blinds. Then one of us gets up to feed both of them but Dakota heads for the lanai and I hear him howling! He has been doing that at night and running crazy if he doesn't get out on the lanai.
Sparky is older and he has been teasing her by running in front of her, then stopping and putting his hind end in her face. He runs to head her off before she gets to the kitchen.
He tries to get her to chase him.
The only one chasing him is me,. :roll:
So yes, it's like the terrible two's and it's my fault.
