I need some of the famous PC.com prayers and vibes. We leave on Thursday for 10 days. About 9 days ago Lani crashed and burned, she does not feel good and has not wanted to eat or drink. We don't know what is going on, she didn't even eat much when I gave her an appetite stim. I have been staying up at night with her hand feeding and encouraging her, that won't happen with a stranger caring for her. We are traveling on birth certificates not passports so I can only enter the US by ship, no plane and I will have limited phone service available.

Please keep my girl in your prayers, I am so worried about her, if I could I would stay home but the whole family has put this together as a 50 yr anniversary and made a lot of sacrifices to do it.

This was supposed to be fun but I can't stop the tears.

Oh, Dianne. I am so very sorry to hear this.

Poor Lady. We are sending lots of love and prayers to you. Who knows, she might perk right back up when you're gone. She is staying with the vet tech, right? They will take good care of her.

HUGS :flower:

{{{Hugs}}} to you and Lani. I don't know what I'd do in this situation either .
Sending lot of good vibs to your little girl and hope that she will be ok while you are gone. At least a Vet Tech will keep an eye on her.

My thoughts and prayers go out for your Lani that she's going to be in the best of hands (other than your own)and hopefully will start feeling much better soon. Travel safe ~

There are like 24 people going, all our kids and spouses and most of the grandkids. It has been a real financial hardship for many of them, we got plane tickets and other stuff for Christmas, I can't let them down.

They have all been doing so well, then all of a sudden she just crashed. Back to the vet this afternoon, her tummy seems hard so I am going to request an xray.

OH Dianne! How frightening this is for you! With a vet tech watching her that will be a huge help but maybe offer permission to take her to the office if she will need round the clock supervision. Maybe that will help set your mind at ease.

HUGS to you and sweet get well wishes and prayer to Lani!

I have already signed a release but they will keep her as a last resort. She gets so upset and scared that would be the worst thing for her, plus she can't have vaccinations so she would be at risk. Her attitude seems to be improving but she just won't eat :(

Dianne,

if her stomach is hard and maybe she has a bigger hairball or constipation in there, she may just feel bloated and not hungry at all. So once you had her seen and know what is causing this, you can take action from there. If surgery is required, I would really consider leaving her at the vet for the time you are away and of course I understand you want to be with your family for this event. I think you would just feel calmer with her being there and maybe Sparky too for company, if they cats for boarding in this special situation?

My prayers go out to and I hope to hear some news about Lani soon.

Thinking of you,

Birgit

Thanks, I am taking her in this afternoon and she has had constipation before so I am going to ask for an xray, they had a heck of a time getting her unplugged when she did that before, but it has been a long time. And I had to stuff hairball stuff and pumpkin down her, good luck to the sitter with that one :?

I just hate leaving her like this, she is so scared anyway but this will just make it harder for her. I am hoping it is not her IBD getting worse, we have been treating it and she was doing so much better, I am hoping it is just something simple. When Lani doesn't want to eat something is wrong, she didn't get to weigh almost 1 lbs by starving :!:
