Look at those golden eyes, wow. Have you decided on a name for her yet?

Thanks for rescuing her, she's beautiful.

I'ts a bit hard to see because her coat is in bad shape, but she looks like a shaded silver tortie (patches of red shaded silver mixed in with the silver shaded silver).

Hopefully she'll become good friends with your other cat and your dog.

:)

I'm thinking she's a silver patched tabby. I too think I am seeing patches of red/cream on this kitty.

How could anyone do this to such a beautiful animal. Thank goodness you
are her guardian angel.

There are all sorts of tips here on looking after your little princess,
once she settles in I'm sure the others will take to her. Persians
are gentle and as a rule get along well with others.

I just sank right into those big beautiful eyes

Bless you forever for taking her in :heart:I immediately thought of my silver patched tabby (Maddie) when I saw the second picture...the coloring is the same!

You have already been given some great advice! I would shave her too...but definitely leave her tail. One of my boys had the most beautiful thick tails ever but then got stud tail and a lot of the fur fell out...still waiting on it to grow back in

For her eyes, you can use some no rub contact solution for daily cleaning. It is also good to pack some powder especially made for that purpose to keep them from staining. Eye Envy is one a lot of people use but if you want to make your own much cheaper drop me a pm and I will send you the ingredients :D

I hope that guy with the rake gets a little in return

Did the vet check her for a chip? She could have gotten out of someones house and gotten herself lost. She does resemble a shaded silver if the cream color is just discoloration. Of course a silver should have green eyes, but we all know that doesn't always happen! :roll:Just look at my Spencer - he didn't get the memo about green eyes. I also think she is probably more a of a patched than a shaded silver. Get her a lion cut for now to make it more comfortable for her. The suggestion for a greyhound comb is a good one. Don't brush her, only comb. A brush doesn't get through all of the coat and you will have mats. Good luck with her and thanks for taking in this angel.

Oh Kirsten, bless you for saving this sweet little girl! I can't believe people could be so cruel! To say youd poison an animal for trying to survive, that is a disgrace! I am so glad you saved her. She is absolutely beautiful!!!!!! You can see the gratitude in her eyes. She will be your forever best friend. You will find that the Persian breed is completely unique. What have you named her?

As for her weight, I'm sure she will regain her weight quickly. You could give her some special treats of baby food, read the labels first to make sure there are no garlic or onions in it. It is cheap and the kitties love it. Jasee LOVES the sweet potatoes! Alot of people here give baby food, chicken, turkey, etc. Also canned pumpkin is a great treat and a favorite of our little ones!

Glad she checked out ok with the vet. A good lion cut would help her to grow in evenly and help take away any matts you couldnt get.

Please keep posting so we know of her progress and of course many many pics!!! Pics of your other kitties and dogs too!!!!
